I can't remember a time when this board in particular has had such a low level of engagement. I know that the product is suffering, but we do not need that to drag us down as a community. Can we all please commit to making an effort to increase the turnover of new threads, creation of fresh conversation starters, and thoughtful discussions?

"Can we please step up our game" "Can we all please commit to making an effort to increase the turnover of new threads"
Did you....Just tell us to post more on a forum? To COMMIT to it? Talk about delusions of grandeur! If anything you've encouraged me to post less. In fact, you make me want to stop posting completely.

Does it really matter? Message boards/forums aren’t as popular and active as they once were. Social media is a big platform for discussions.
Welcome to 2019

There's just nothing to talk about anymore when it comes to WWE.
Plus what's the point of voicing your opinion online when everyone will just gang up on that person and tell them they are wrong.

I remember when I joined the day this forum was created after the whole AF meltdown. It was SWAMPED with posts in all sections for years after that.
I guess it comes down to the boom of other forums such as reddit and whatnot taking away from other forums and maybe the decline of wrestling interest.

Every time I see someone trying to make a push to increase the number of new threads here, they're met with a barrage of regulars admonishing them for creating new threads. Elsewhere, I've seen actual complaints regarding the notion that members should have to meet certain thresholds before being allowed to make new threads. Who would want to try and boost the activity here if that's the sort of response they're likely to get?

When you segregate to the point of compartmentalizing that's what happens. People wanna talk about whats trending in all of wrestling some days not just WWE but this is the largest and most active board, mostly anyways. There's been some decent activity elsewhere. Besides, people want to be able to give their input and navigate the site or app easily. Too many sub boards is going to make checking them a task when you don't have much time.
That and negative members who discourage others from posting or those who somehow have accounts but only cause problems (although nobody is completely innocent myself included). Its a lot of factors I would imagine. Lack of spectacle in the mainstream sport itself and so on.

Any time something even half interesting comes up, the "no fun crew" asks for it to be locked. Or a mod locks it for no reason. Combine that with how ban happy this place has been historically and you get what you have now. Compare the site's activity to 5 years ago. At this rate the site could be dead 5 years from now. Oh and never mind the people who can't log in and have asked for help in the Support Center. There is no help. And it's never coming. Nobody cares.

I’m trying. It’s not just the WWE thread that’s slow, it’s the entire forum.
