Appearently the Four Horsemen have hinted that NECA may actually get the rights to MOTU action figures. Appearently Mattel would still get a cut of the profits.

Yeah, Mattel is very particular with that brand. The classic MOTU's DVD Releases couldn't even get any cooperation with Mattel to show any toys or toy commercials from the series.

MOTU figures won't happen. They basically just said "there is hope that there will be some hope of talk", which basically boils down to .001% chance of anything developing. Stanctions are all that's coming out.
I disagree they don't suck at all. They are the best looking things ever when it comes to MOTU. I wish Jakks would release figures with such detail.
As for money, they are a tad expensive @ $20 each, but not too expensive. That's basically the price of one IE figure from RSC or one CS2p.

If they had articulation, they would be incredible. It angers me that these highly detailed and accessorized products are so close to being action figures yet are completely worthless to me. I really wanted to have a reason to buy Hordak but the figure wasn't even pre-posed in a manner that was at all useful to me. The Horsemen made something great. Mattel just sucks for ruining it and crushing any hopes of getting new figures of lesser known characters.
