I'm curious as to who you all view as debut killers? Now, I use the term DEBUT loosely to mean their first, major feud. And, what I'm asking for is, what wrestlers do you feel lead to momentum killing matches and angles?
In the Attitude Era, if you feuded with JR and King as your first feud, you were sunk. Tazz started off strong, and somehow found himself embroiled against King and JR. They were the debut killers. I can't think of one person to debut and start a feud with those two and made it out of lower card booking. (honestly, I cannot remember too much about the Attitude Era, so it may not be the best example. I do know JR and King feuded with a lot of debuting talent as I used to use them as an example of where you don't want to be in wwe back when I was younger).
In the Current Era, Dolph Ziggler is a debut killer. Bobby Roode's first feud was against him. Tyler Breeze's first feud. Shinsuke Nakamura's first feud. All fizzled out. I cannot think of one debuting guy who feuded with Ziggler who was elevated. Now, if you face Cesaro, you seem to be able to show classic matches, get some momentum, and then it's up to the crowd to accept you. But, for odd reason, if you face Ziggler when you're just starting to become known to the WWE universe, you're forgotten about once it's over. Momentum is killed completely.

today’s era is just a complete bust creatively, you can’t attack one individual imo.

If I had to pin it down to one guy of the current era, it’d be Ziggler for sure. I think the fact that he says that he is gonna retire and then goes away for a few weeks or months and then comes back out of nowhere with no momentum from the time he left, plays a big role in this. Why should I even take this noodle hair guy serious?? He looses all the time and then wins out of nowhere and in his promos all he does is scream. No character evolution, nothing over the last idk 8 years?
I don’t wanna hate on Ziggler cause he seems to be seen as a good hand that will bump around like a madman when someone needs to look good and strong but for the rest he just isn’t very good as a first feud kinda guy.
Someone like Cesaro on the other hand...

I’m gonna go with BIg Show. First time we see him, he makes a bone head error and costs McMahon the match by throwing Austin through the cage, then a few weeks later on RAW loses to Austin clean....fast forward he had 5 face / heel changes in his first 14 months with the company

Its unfair to blame Ziggler. The real momentum killers of today are the WWE Bookers.

If you debut someone in a feud with Dolph Ziggler you're just asking for that person's career to go down the toilet.

Although, he didn’t debut with a feud against Ziggy, but instead teamed up with him. Drew Mcintyre’s career has been crap to begin with. I was excited when he finally returned. Then bookings happened.
