It took 6 months to research, write a script, acquire toys, shoot video, edit, go back and shoot more footage, edit..and repeat. But now its finally done and I think it was worth the wait! I personally didn't collect this line when I was younger but I was a huge Simpsons fan.
What are your memories with the figures? Is there anyone you wish Playmates made?

Thats a brilliant video - I hope it gets the attention it deserves! Without a doubt, Maude Flanders was the biggest gap in the line. This was one of the greatest toy lines of all time and I wish I paid more attention to it at the time! I bought a loose bundle of about 60 shortly after the line finished. I liked the NECA revival enough. In fact their Bart/Lisa/Milhouse figures were better proportioned than TWOS versions. MWCToys loved WOS and reviewed pretty much everything ever released www.mwctoys.com/FEATURE_101104b.htm

Would have bought a set with Munchie and Seth to get Carlin. I had the original Mattel figures as a kid but I never collected the line in the 2000s.
But definitely subscribed. Nice work and I'm a massive Bill & Ted fan. So props on that video and totally agreed about Reaper. I have the entire collection of the Kenner toys besides Reaper. He just kind of makes me made because I'm an Excellent Adventure guy. I wanted Joan of Arc and I really would have loved Napoleon to see the light of day. I still follow the listing to see if a prototype will pop up on eBay. Anyway great stuff!

This series is without a doubt, my biggest collecting regret. I wish I would have been old enough when these came out to buy the majority of them. This video just made me start looking some up on eBay and I can't imagine that will end well for me. I honestly can't believe how many they made.

Very interested in sitting down and watching this video when I have some time to focus on it.
I didn't collect any figures at this time but always admired these. I know I bought a few to give to people as gifts that seemed so unique at the time, like Bumblebee Man.

Dude this videos awesome. I’m so tempted to start collecting these but Don’t wanna spend the money lol. I’m using the fact that Funko is putting out more Simpsons pops as a way to convince myself not to get into these
I’d love to see another video about the Simpsons neca line

That was a fun trip down memory lane! I still have a few lying around somewhere in the attic - great line.

Randomly found the music teacher and Helen Lovejoy moc at Half Price Books for $5 each last week. I think this might be the start of a collection.

NECA quit too soon when there were many great choices still available when NECA stopped. The only real bad choice they made was a normal Bart and then making Xena & Fallout Boy Milhouse weren’t really needed since we already got them from Playmates. It would be great if they would start up again.

I finally bit the bullet on a lot of these figures on eBay, I pretty much wiped out all of my wants in the single lot and for a very reasonable price, so I am pretty happy, can't wait to get them.
There's only a select few that weren't in the lot that I need to track down, (Moe, Carl, Stonecutter Homer, Mr. Plow, & Mascot Homer) and probably a few others but for the time being I should be good.

Years ago, I bought a lot from a comic shop that had a table set up at a local comic/card show. My car trunk was filled with about 40 carded figures, two boxed Simpson's talking car, the 9" versions of Homer, Burns, Smithers, and a metal lunchbox. I really only wanted the figures, but the other things were thow-ins because the store owner probably didn't want to haul all that stuff back to his store, lol.
