So we all know there are rules in wrestling but why aren't these rules made available to the public? As a practicing attorney I demand to have a copy of the official wrestling rule book so that I can thoroughly examine it and call out the constant bs that occurs during matches. Where is the 5 count when wrestlers stall on the top rope? Why do refs continue counting the pin when a wrestlers limb is beneath the rope? Why are closed fist shots not regulated? I WANT ANSWERS!!!

Being as it only exists in the mind of Vince, I highly doubt the McMahon family will ever allow it for public disclosure.
There may be legal maneuvers you could try, but the (alleged) steroid use and dementia have probably eaten away the pages past the point of legibility lol

I always wondered why people who are not a participant in the Royal Rumble can come in, throw somebody out and have it count as an elimination.

People can laugh all they want but this is part of the reason WWE isn’t working in 2019 imo. We live in a critic driven society. When WWE doesn’t respect their own continuity, and doesn’t operate within the fictional confines of their own creation, people check out. It’s not just wrestling. Movies and tv are shredded to bits when they make mistakes or contradict themselves. WWE does this weekly.
Bottom line, suspension of disbelief only works if the entity presenting the fiction respects the story they’re crafting. I buy into Thanos destroying half the galaxy because the MCU setup a very specific story on how that works and applied those principles over the course of 20 films. WWE does way too much “because wrestling” for the way an audience in 2019 is programmed to consume stories. Vince literally believes the audience doesn’t remember what happened last week.

Unless there’s a rule stating you can only be eliminated by an official participant in the match, then it is what it is. Their rules say eliminations occur when you go over the top rope with both feet touching the floor, it doesn’t specify how those actions occur.

Open fists and partially open/closed fists are legal. You're welcome

Since when was it illegal to strike a referee? Years back if you touched one you got DQ'd but now it's a $100.000 fine.
I remember the days when Shamrock would go psycho and start tossing officials all around the ring.

A big one is blind tags. I get it sets up shenanigans, but tagging someone’s back or whatever isn’t legal.

They’d be able to publish a new one every week. They only use/enforce rules when needed

One of the reasons fans got behind a match and suspended belief was because the “rules” were enforced in wrestling’s heyday.
