If it's any consolation, my K Mart literally doesn't carry basics, elites, or battle packs. There's straight up no pegs for them. Just the Wrekkin' figures and kid's belts

Kmart was awful. overpriced, outdated, a complete trainwreck of a retail store
but man the days of going to all the TRUs and checking out the goods, some of my best memories as a collector were from TRU and the Jakks days + early mattel days
i remember when the first series' of mattels were hitting, the ones that had the 1/1000's....i went in to one of the TRUs i used to hit and found like 4 Kanes, it was amazing. that same TRU was where i found a Jakks 1/500 Lashley & a 1/500 Edge. it was such a cool feeling to walk into a store and find something that was actually "rare"

We dont miss TRU, we miss the TRU of like 10+ years ago. The last years of TRU in the states was rough and they hardly had anything and it was always crazy priced.

I miss TRU too. But The King of Crisps has a point in that we miss the TRU of our childhoods. Because I know for me that unless something was on sale or I really wanted it, I never really bought anything at TRU. Gamestop is the exact same way. Have never bought anything there unless it was on sale, clearance, or a gift for someone. So when it finally goes, I am not going to be that upset.
As far as Kmart goes... I went in to mine yesterday. Its a tee-total wreck. They had still had Battlepack series 39 on the shelves. They were on sale for $15. Considered getting them, but it was a situation where I really wanted one figure in the pack but really didn't want the other.

My Kmart closed up a couple years ago and darn it, I miss it. It was the most convenient hunting spot around me. In its last year, I made more fig purchases there than anywhere else. I often bought wrestling DVD's there too but the electronics section dried up years prior. Prices were steeper and they were resistant to clearance (what retailer isn't) but being a Rewards member, I made out in Points. That and utilizing free Ship-to-Store for RSC products, it was a magical time (sheds tear in grief).
Now the city is holding the lot hostage, probably waiting for residents to forget they promised to not use the property for municipal purposes. Jerks.

Although I never bought any Mattel WWE figures from Toys R Us I always loved walking down the wrestling aisle and seeing it all. I'll be spending a lot more time in toy stores over the next few years as my wife is expecting our first child in a few weeks. Hopefully other stores in the UK can pick up the slack lol

i miss TRUS & KBTOYS/ToyWorks! and Suncoast Video/FYE stores. I used to get lots of good wrestling and movie collectables from those 2 stores.

In my experience, K-Mart always sucked. TRU, on the other hand, always treated me well. WWE, Star Wars, Marvel, I would always walk out with something. I miss it.

Yeah I def. hear you as do many I'm sure. More and more things disappear as we go along. But like it's been mentioned, Kay Bee I miss the most. I always used to love heading to the mall as a whole and of course Kay Bee was my first stop...it seems like I could almost always find something interesting there and it wasn't too often I walked out disappointed. Sometimes my Kay Bee would actually get in the new stuff before my Toys R Us.

I was in my Kmart recently and they still have a fair amount of stuff, including those AJ Styles Fan Packs that I've never seen anywhere else. Sasha and Bayley Fan Packs too, along with some basics and Elites.

I miss Toys R Us big time! Going to stores for Mattel figures is not even an option anymore, its complete waste of time. My closet Target did put on UE series one but other than that they have not put anything out since around June. There is like nothing. Walmart? Horrible, I swear they don't even sell Mattel figures anymore. There is a bunch of stuff popping up on Marshall's. I mean seriously the end must be nigh for WWE and Mattel.

If it wasn’t for TRU I wouldn’t have half my collections. Really only ML were overpriced at TRU, but at least they had them on the pegs.
