This is the problem, it isn't 2009 anymore where it's WWE, TNA and ROH going at it and Japan and Mexico being kind of obscure in the background. Online streaming means that everything is far more crowded and we've seen many indie promotions take the spotlight alongside Japan and Mexico becoming less obscure. This has not benefited Impact in any form, and these companies have taken over its spotlight alongside NXT.
The only real way this AXS TV deal can benefit the company is through advertising revenue being spent back into the company. Simply putting out a product doesn't cut it anymore, it has to be a good product with good production value to stand out from the crowd.
Anthem need to push Impact's production value in terms of arenas and also get in some bigger stars.
I'm worried that Anthem will not put the AXS TV money into Impact, and they re-invest back into AXS TV instead. They really need to make major changes NOW before it is too late.
The quality of the show is getting better in terms of content, though the production value is getting worse and worse and the bigger stars are leaving.

TV viewing habits are very fragmented now and spread out. But honestly, look, it's Anthem's network now. It's up to them to figure it out. I'm not going to worry about it. My understanding is that Impact/Anthem have a streaming service as well. Not sure how many people actually use it but whatever. Like NJPW has the AXS TV show, but they also have their own sub-service that they are simulcasting all their live events now. The main problem with NJPW is their streaming service is kind of archaic at this point. It's in bad need of an update and overhaul.

I get AXS TV. It's primarily a classic rock channel. I don't see how professional wrestling fits in to a channel dedicated to classic rock bands. Impact is so desperate at this point that they will sign with any obscure channel they can get a deal with. When that falls out, they go to some other oddball channel
