I've posted about age stuff before, maybe even this specifically (or at least a Jericho/'Taker comparison), mainly because it's fascinating.
Jericho is the main star of AEW right now, not a nostalgia act, age 49, heavyweight champ. When Hogan was 49, he was doing a nostalgia run, working Rock, Brock, and all the other 2002 guys as an old-timer. Isn't that weird? That Jericho now is the age Hogan was then? Jericho is literally the wrestler who will be around forever.
By the way, where do we post AEW stuff, anyway? It deserves its own forums, not just "Other Feds."

Definitely not in shape like Hogan was/is... I see 2019/2020 Jericho as a lot more youthful than 2002 Hogan.

To be fair, Hogan looked like he was 50 when he was 30.

This makes Chris Jericho's feud with Mickey Rourke and the WWE Legends even funnier and how he said The Wrestler glorifies the pathetic hasbeens, clinging onto the past, hoping for one last shot at glory.

He was in great shape when he was teaming with Kevin Owens and that wasn’t that long ago. Prior to that as heel suit Jericho he wasn’t as solid as list Jericho. Dudes 49?? He looks great. I believe he’s made it part of his gimmick. I think he’s doing an Axl Rose impersonation.

His lean muscle/definition is gone. And for 49, he looks fantastic. Yeah, some leaning out won't hurt. But, I think he's just fine. Especially for guy who's looked more natural.

But, I think Jericho just rebrands himself. 2002 Hogan was pretty much Red/Yellow return with little of the Hollywood Hogan element. And Hogan just always has looked much older then what he is to me. And I think booking and commentary can play part. I remember watching Backlash 2005, and the way they built up to Hogan was like he was wrestling god and the greatest of all time. And he seemed like some ancient greek god of wrestling to me by description. I think Jericho just reinvents the character, and it isn't played on and on about Jericho and where he's been. Hogan really had 3 gears with Red/Yellow, NWO, and that hybrid he had going in 02/03. Jericho's character and the way he changes is amazing. He's one of the most entertaining acts out there.

For AEW talk, theres an All Elite Wrestling thread on the other feds board. The second largest promotion deserves more than one thread. If people posted it on the correct board in stead of on the wwe board it would have more thread. As for the original topic yes you can compare the two it doesn’t matter if Hogan was on stuff the fact is Hogan looked in better shape than Jericho at age 49. Although doesn’t change the fact that Jericho it 49 can still out perform Hogan in Hogan’s prime.

For AEW talk, theres an All Elite Wrestling thread on the other feds board. The second largest promotion deserves more than one thread. It needs it's own board when weekly TV starts. Not a big ask, it could even make the place a bit more active which would be a bonus.

Jericho has stayed that the only workout he has done for years now is DDP Yoga. No gym or weights.

I find that statement interesting cause why would a lack of AEW board stop anyone from talking about AEW. And whats the guarantee that the AEW board would be more active? When All Out happened, not one person talked about it, and the responses were "Oh, we dont want to deal to arguments about AEW. Oh, we need our own board for AEW". Well if more people talked about AEW, I could see a justification for an AEW board. And ill agree the TNA/Impact board shouldn't be there either. But guys, you want to show AEW should get its own board here, how about be more active on this board for AEW.
