Street Fighter collectors get a "fan favorite" two-pack... SOTA Toys has a surprise for Street Fighter fans: Ryu and Sagat are back... Fans of the company's most popular line of figures, which has sold amazingly well and is appriciated by both video game players and action figure collectors alike, will get a two-pack of arch-enemies next March when SOTA Toys will release the "Scarring Blow" Ryu & Sagat two pack exclusively through Toyfare Magazine. Subscribers to the magazine will have an order form for the figures available inside Febuary's Issue #102, set to hit nespamtands on December 14, and internet users will be able to order online on the same day. credit: figures(dot)com ********************************************** Even though I already have Ryu and Sagat from series 1, I am VERY tempted to order this set. I love the bloody detail on both figures, especially on the fists. I don't know what is up with Ryu's arm, whether it is his actual hand or an accessory that fits over the arm. The Evil Ryu/Psycho Bison two pack had clear blue energy hands on Ryu, one with lightning coming off of it (I cut off the lightning). So, the energy arm may actually be a permanent thing. I'm hoping to see some close-ups at some point. I would love to see the facial detail up close.

If you have never played Street Fighter, why on earth would you want the figures?

Karma for 1st who can tell me Ryu and Sagat's fued dates way back to the very first Street Fighter game. Ryu was the challenger who made it all the way to the main boss, who was the King of the Muay Tai fighting style Sagat. Those figures depict them from the end of their battle. The massive wound on Sagat's chest is from an Aruken fireball shot by Ryu, who Sagat narrowly dodged it's fatal hit but the fireball still burned across his chest. That same scar shows up in all future games and figures. As the story goes, Ryu wins and becomes Street Fighter champion. In the second game, Sagat is working for M Bison of Shadowloo.

I like this pack a lot, although I may pick up the other exclusive one instead, the non-bloody versions.

Do you know a good website were I could get the back stories of the Street Fighter characters? I'd like to get into that kind of thing, but I feel kind of lost.

I thought it was a dragon punch that scarred Sagat?
Also, I believe that site is accepting pre-orders now.
