I though cosmetically the show looked great. Love seeing an opening and the new song is pretty good. Pyro was never a big issue with me, but I dug seeing it again.
The matches were all fun. But I will say there were a few too many rematches. Would have been nice to see some new match ups. But I'm sure that's coming after the draft.
The Flair/Hogan segment was okay.
Brock being an unhinged monster is the best Brock. Cool beginning to the show.
The Lana/Rusev/Lashley thing has Heyman written all over it. It's weird and absurd, but that's okay.
Oh and I didn't hate the commentary team. King was still his dated self, but it wasn't horrible. Vic & Dio were a refreshing change.

I enjoyed raw, but I thought it was kind of too hectic
It went from Rey/Rollins to Brock destroying Rey, then Rollins/Orton which led to Rusev coming in for the save for some reason, then Rollins/Rusev which leads to Lashley and Lana making out and the fiend attacking Rollins.
Only 3 matches are announced for hell in a cell and the draft next week wasn’t even mentioned or advertised

This is terrible story telling. You can’t have two cuck storylines on the same show!

Mysterio vs Rollins was a much better main event than what we were given. Kinda past it with these angles with Lana and rusev

The end of the show ruined it for me. The Lashley/Rusev/Lana was "Bad Russo Booking 101" Now, they can go full Russo if Lana mentions Lashley having a bigger soldier down below because he's a black guy...I really hope they don't. I DO imagine that there are some uncomfortable parties watching that last night as there are four people involved in this (Lashley, his wife, Rusev, Lana) and they can do edgy without doing trashy I would hope. But hey, Vince gonna Vince in the end.

Once you go black, you don't ever go back. Lana will soon find that out LMAOOOOOOOO but in all seriousness I was definitely shocked at this segment. I mean how many unhappy marriages well cuckold stories are you gonna have in WWE though? First Maria and Mike and now Rusev & Lana.

From what I saw of the clips, I have mixed feelings, though much more skewed on the positive side, thanks to the sorely needed presentation changes.
However, the booking was just more of the same. Viking Raiders VS The Club, which I'm pretty sure we saw last week (if not, it was very recently). Ricochet VS Cesaro (which I distinctly remember from only a month or two ago). The same AOP backstage promo we've seen for like a month now. Sasha VS Alexa for the millionth time I can forgive because of the women's division being so small.
However, INTROS AND PYRO ARE BACK!! The new intro is pretty cool (even though I feel like they put way too much of the band in the intro. Felt kind of more like a music video than a wrestling intro). Hopefully they're not dumb enough to get rid of weekly intros and pyro again. Those two things are the bare minimum, in my opinion. The new commentary team felt really fresh, and a lot better than the old one. Lawler is still competent. Joseph is a solid commentator. And Maddin turned out pretty well. I've constantly seen the dude on social media doing various gaming things over the past year or so, so its nice to finally see/hear him on TV.
The Becky/Sasha confrontation was really entertaining. Lashley and Lana returning was an interesting and unexpected twist. Fiend attacking Rollins outside the ring instead of inside the ring made it feel unique.
Only disappointing match result really was Heavy Machinery not winning the tag titles. I really hope they win gold eventually; they're just too good to not be champions. However, I don't mind it so much if Viking Raiders are the next champions. They're really good too.

Upfront: Only watched the Cesaro/Ricochet match stuff. Its when I turned the tv on for a little bit. I read the rest of the results online. But from what I read and the little I watched, all of the matches were either predictable or not worth caring about. I feel cheated out of a great championship main event between Rollins and Mysterio. All for more "Brock IS THE BEST!!" crap. I get that they are advertising for this Friday, but still. I love how this was supposed to be the "SEASON PREMIER", a new beginning, etc, etc, CHANGE... Maybe I am simply a bad wrestling fan, But this was another Raw where I am more than ok just watching the youtube clips. They pull that “premier” and “change” crap all the time. Last was in December when the McMahons came out and said they’d listen to the fans and promised change. Look how well that turned out...

Both Ricochet and Seth Rollins say they are upset about to Rey. But did nothing to help him so you must really nut be that upset.

It would have made way more sense for Rollins to run out during the Rey attack, but that gets into too much cross storytelling. You need Rollins for the Saudi bullsh*t and then he's out there again for the Rusev match. Plus, Brock vs Rollins is done and I don't want them leaning into that even a little.
My hope with the Lashley stuff is that they are using Lana's past to deceive both Lashley and the audience. So she'll do this charade with Lashley in order to help Rusev get the big win on PPV.
Flair is crazy. Vince has giant balls for letting him out there with a live mic at this point imo haha.
Liked the tag title match, AJ/Cedric, the opening segment, Ricochet doing the WCP, and the Rollins/Fiend build. Would have been nice to actually get Rey vs Rollins, though. I kind of like the hectic/chaotic feel to the show. I've said before, anything that breaks up the cadence of the show is good by me. Less formula, more free flowing.

Well, the good news for the figure fans is that to create the new raw entrance, all you gotta do is print off a titantron image on nice paper and gently bend it up against a wall.
That set is about as ugly as it gets. It looks like one of those old people chair cushions
Gotta love commentary. Lesnar comes out, beats senseless a teenager according to them, from the audience, and at that a family member of a beloved superstar. And all they have to say about it is, well he faces Kofi Kingston for the title on Friday! Jim Ross would have sold that segment like no tomorrow, instead they just act like it’s part of the show

Mixed feelings about the show. Liked Brock beating up the Mysterio family but no reprussions ? Nobody came down to save them ? OC getting buried once again, why put them back with AJ ? Liked the RAW tag title match. Ugh, Cesaro jobbing out, Nattie jobbing out. Matches we've seen before. Commentating too early to tell but they didn't annoy me and were kind of background nice which is good. Seth vs. Rusev, ok match but horrible storyline with Lana/Lashley. The Mike/Maria was stomach churning and now this ? If RAW does become more of the attitude era storylines, I'll record weekly. I watch wrestling with my teenage daughters sometimes and not the storylines I want them to follow. They know it is scripted but still scripted in poor taste.

RAW is just an outlet for Heyman to explore his fetishes.

This is how you kick off a big week of wrestling? What a way to turn people off. I thought WWE has been crap for years, but last night was awful. Sorry but if this was Heyman, they need to replace him asap. He should be better than that. Especially with how everyone kisses his ass and worship the guy.
The siren over the speakers? WTF!
Commentary even more awful than the bland 3. "Face Tattoos!" " hey remember Fat Bastard from 20 years ago?" Only good thing was Renee not screaming OH! every 10 seconds.
Flair has no business being on TV anymore. He's an embarrassment to himself, Charles, WWE, the live crowd, tv crowd, and to wrestling in general. I was getting drunk just by looking at his disgusting drunk ass.
What a complete crap show.

I went sleep around 3am so I missed the last hour but just got done watching it. Overall a good enough show for me but could have been a bit better.
Loved the opening segment (best in a long time) but damn I really wanted Seth vs Rey. The Hogan/Flair stuff was fn comedy and the crowd looked like they enjoyed it lol.
Seeing pyro back for Lesnar/Miz/Seth/Becky was also nice to see. Always loved pyro in WWE tbh.

Flair is crazy. Vince has giant balls for letting him out there with a live mic at this point imo haha. THIS. I love Ric Flair, don't get me wrong, but he's almost as bat crazy as Iron Sheik now. Obviously they had a plan backstage with the script, for Flair to get in some digs at Hogan and turn the friendly reunion into a rivalry. That's how it played out on paper....but live? OMG Flair has lost so much timing on the mic, he kept talking over Miz, he didn't get the visual cues from the boys in the ring, and his pants was too damn big! It kept falling down and grandpa Flair kept hiking it back up. It was embarrassing for old and young people to watch. Not to mention the crowd shots were completely silent when he came out too. I'm afraid Flair's done, any more of these stupid appearances and he just continues to tarnish an amazing legacy.
