I manage a restaurant owned by a celebrity chef (Daytime Emmy winner, Peabody Award winner, James Beard Foundation Award winner, etc..)
I am a business ambassador for my local Chamber of Commerce and on the board of directors for my local history museum.
Currently am in the process of starting up my own non-profit. All fun stuff.

But somehow, living life having absolutely nothing to do (because of Coronavirus), seems far less enjoyable than simply not being employed and, despite having even more time on my hands now than before, I can't be bothered to accomplish anything. Although, that said, I once had a therapist tell me that for disabled mentally ill persons, keeping our ish together is our profession. It's straight up what we get paid for, and in some aspects, it's a far more challenging job than most neurotypical 9 to 5 jobs. So yeah. My "employment" so to speak is not going off the deep end. And I'd like to think I'm finally in line for a promotion, after my 30 years with the company... |
