Simple as that. Who had the most finishing moves in their tenure as a wrestler? First that comes to mind is Test.
Test had: - Pumphandle Slam - Diving Elbow Drop - Test Neckbreaker (so called in smackdown 2? Actually a fireman's carry to a spin-out front falling facebuster) - Big Boot - Test Drive (Rolling cutter) - TKO
That's 6 right there.
Others that come to mind:
Albert/Tensai/A-Train etc...
- Baldo Bomb/Derailer (Two handed chokebomb) - Bicycle Kick - Spinning Rack Pancake (Argentine neckbreaker) - Train Wreck (Argentine backbreaker) - Tensai Claw (with STO)
Undertaker: - Tombstone - Chokeslam - Last Ride - Takin' Care of Business (Dragon sleeper used 2002-3) - Hell's Gate
Any others that comes to mind?

I think most guys' moves become iconic. Not sure why anyone would change their finishing move.
1 finishing move Hogan: big boot and leg drop Savage: double ax handle and flying elbow drop Santana: flying forearm Martel: Boston crab Big Boss Man: boss man slam Stone cold: stunner Mr Perfect: perfect Plex DiBiase: million dollar dream Ric Flair: figure four
2 finishing moves Shawn Michaels: weird back suplex, super kick Bret Hart: back breaker and middle rope elbow drop, sharpshooter
It's like some guys need to add a new finisher when they are developing, they do.

It's also something we see more common in recent years. There seems to be a go-to list of what I call "jobber finishers" given to guys when they first come up or need refreshing. These moves include but aren't limited to: Downward Spiral/Flatliner/Paydirt/Li'l Jimmy Overdrive leg neckbreaker This list used to be longer but I'm struggling to think. There are more.

I'm not a follower of modern wrestling, but did Edge always use the spear?

He started with the Flatliner, I think. Edge has used the following for finishers: Flatliner Spear Edgecution Impaler DDT His signature moves included the Edge-O-Matic (reverse sit-out facebuster) and the Edgeucator leg lock (sideways sharpshooter).

I think it would be a good gimmick for someone to have. Every week they have a different finisher, it fails to put the opponent away and the opponent wins the match. I'd watch that for a comedy bit. Maybe give it the gimmick to the following guys for each era: - late 80s: Red Rooster - early 90s: Tugboat - late 90s: Marc Mero - current: Mojo Rawley

Stone Cold had the stun gun, the million dollar dream, and the stunner
Hogan had Leg drop and the axe bomber (in Japan)
Randy Orton had the O-Zone then RKO then added the punt in (06?)

Yeah like alot of divas either use the bulldog or DDT... Just too common. Also totally forgot about Jericho! Could even say he used the Enzuigiri for a little while as a finisher too.

Didn't Tito use the Figure 4 during his IC and tag title reigns? And he had a different finisher as El Matador. His finisher comes at 3:11 - 3:18.

Wasn't his original finisher the electric chair? My vote goes with Big Show Chokeslam / Showstopper W.M.D - Weapon of Mass Destruction Final Cut (Spinning headlock elbow drop) Hog Log (spinning headlock legdrop) Big Sleep Spear Colossal Clutch Stinkface Thrust Kick Big Boot Gorilla Press Dropkick Headbutt Sidewalk Slam Alley Oop F5 "Frying Pan" chop

If that were the case, many wrestlers could say a roll up/small package etc were their finishers too.

Hercules had a full nelson and the torture rack back breaker. He never seemed to use one after Power & Glory split up. He always seemed to lose and I don't recall him against any jobbers. Warlord also had the full nelson as well as the running powerslam. Not sure if he used a powerbomb at some point somewhere. Tatanka has the Samoan drop and then later that Wykea slam thing. Think he also used a top rope body press for a while. Doink had the Whoopee Cushion and the stump puller. Kane started with the tombstone and now uses the chokeslam. There's Scott Steiner with his Frankensteiner, Steiner Recliner and some kind of falcon arrow. Perry Saturn had a death valley driver and the Rings of Saturn. Lita used a moonsault and the Twist of Fate. Kurt Angle with his ankle lock and Angle slam. Eddie Guerrero used a Gory Special, Gory Bomb and then later exclusively used the frog splash. IRS started using a Samoan drop as the Write Off and then changed it to his flying clothesline. Rey used a springboard huricanrana pin after the 619, before changing to the Dropping the Dime leg drop and then a frog splash or normal splash. Not sure what he used in WCW. Benoit used a tiger suplex before the Crippler Crossface and probably a few other things. Also Foley had his double arm DDT, mandible claw, Socko claw, Love Handle and Sweet Shin Music. Rikishi had a big splash until he got too heavy and used a banzai drop and the Rikishi Driver. I need a break now.

Some of these guys have had way to many. You really only need one or two. (Submission and a cover one) Sting - Scorpion Deathlock and Deathdtop.
