Better than I expected, but I still would have went with someone else as my first champion. It's not as bad as ROH making Sumie Sakai their first champ, but it's close.

Why has everything been so sloppy tonight? I’m being forgiving because it’s their first night But AEW needs to understand only a fraction of their roster is household names, they have to build all these people up before the show can get going and gain traction |

Why has everything been so sloppy tonight? Average twitter response would be: "IT WAS THE FIRST EPISODE!!!!1!!!!!!11111! WWE FAN BOY PSSY!!' There's no reason it should be though. They've had multiple shows to work out the kinks of everything and work in front of big crowds. |

The Elite has the absolute worst theme song I've ever heard in my life. Nothing about it is good. Nothing about it gets you hyped. Nothing about it feels like a threat is approaching. It's just bad.

Most of the time I don’t think you really notice the crowd. More about thinking about your next move and what’s going on. They haven’t messed hard stuff up either. That’s what gets me |
