I havent seen E69 in my area yet, but I am surprised that Bobby Lashley is shelfwarming. I was just in London and he was the hardest one to find in that series over there. Its his first ever Mattel figure, a lot of people have wanted a figure of him since he was in TNA and he has a great look for a toy. I don't know what it is. It could be he's just not very popular in my area, but every store that I've been to that has had leftovers from E69 cases (I still haven't found a full freshly put out case yet), he's been left behind. He and Miz are the worst here, followed by Ciampa. I still haven't seen Ricochet once yet. Must be that skit with Sami Zayn and his "sisters".

Same here or wish they have some kind of availability online. I don’t have a target within 3 hours of me and when I go to them it’s the same old stuff and if they do have anything new it’s picked through. I was able to call somebody today and have Liv and Sonya on hold for pickup tomorrow.

Nah, I'd rather they be out there and hard to find as opposed to not being made. If Mattel put Sonya or Liv in a regular line, the same people who want exclusives to stop would be mad that the spot wasn't used for one of their favorites. At least this way we are getting more names in the line than ever before. I say keep em coming.

If Mattel said no, do you think they would stop ordering? Kind of hard for Mattel to say no to money Wasn't the question.
Same goes for Target....they wouldn't stop ordering, they would be cutting off their nose to spite their face.

If Mattel said no, do you think they would stop ordering? Bill pretty much confirmed that already happened in one of the Q&A’s he did. He said that when they had store Exclusive sets (HOF/HOC/FB) the Target and Walmart buyers were just ordering their exclusive sets and not the core Elite line. Then that tells you these figures aren't going to be made for very much longer.
International market is dead.
Secondary market is dead.
Every normal figure is ending up reduced.
US is only ordering exclusives, creating a fake demand for the 0.5 per case type figure.
Prime markets now, is high value early Mattels, Old Hasbro (Retro demand is dead except for 6-7 of the figures. ), LJN and even Classic superstars are fetching double what they did 2 years ago.
No one cares about the current characters, so the money is going on saught after figures instead.

If walmart and target "really" gave a crap about these Chase exclusives they should be really upset about them going to wrong stores, going to online competition, or ending up in discount stores.
The more this crap plays out the more I believe it's mattel selling the retailers on these Chase exclusives and not the other way around.
I think walmart and target don't really care as long as the customers are buying the product. Its all the same crap to them. At least that's my theory.
Meanwhile scalpers are loving these things cause they can make it 600% by finding them and reselling.

The lack of any announcement of an extension beyond 2020 seems odd. But I also think Mattel will pull out all the stops to retain the license, since it's their only major action figure property. But the point about secondary market prices for older figures exploding is spot on. Money that used to go to new figures is going into the secondary market. And that can't be good for Mattel.

Walmart / Target don't give a crap, they are likely still ticked off that Mattel cancelled the store exclusive lines that were selling well for them and forced them to carry more of the main line. The Flashback and Hall of Champions lines were cancelled by Mattel under pressure from WWE who were not happy that retailers were mainly stocking the store exclusives and not enough of the main line.

The current deal expires in 2021 not 2020 and the lack of any news on an extension might be because they haven't finalized a deal yet. It will be interesting to see if they do renew the contract, what the duration will be?! The last time the contract was renewed it was only for an additional 2 years (from 2019 to 2021) whereas the renewal before that was for 5 years. I suspect that WWE's licensing fee might be an issue as they are likely to increase it considerably due to the WWE line supposedly being the best selling action figure line last year. If they jack up the fee quite a bit then Mattel will need to increase prices to cover the added expense and I don't think retailers will be happy about that as they will need to increase their prices in return and in the past they have balked at raising prices.

"we want more niche characters in my elite line!" *Mattel does just so* "Mattel, get rid of it, it's too hard to find!"

Paying 50$ on ebay for a exclusive does the consumer no good, or there company...period.

Eh, I could see a scenario where WWE doesn't go hard on the licensing fees, even with a huge new platform in FOX. The whole point of these figures is to keep kids invested in wrestling and WWE specifically, when it comes down to it. I don't think they're going to sacrifice that magic $10 price point for kids and parents. When you go to shows, you see the cheaper roleplay stuff for kids (Rey masks or Demon Finn masks, for instance) always around the $10 mark.
Hasbro hasbro hasbro please
I am all for Hasbro taking over the license 1000%.
I have been able in the last few weeks buy a whole set of the spiderman molten man set at my local walmart.
Then at my local gamestop I was able to buy 2 war machine punishers, 2 new 2019 punishers, wolverine, and agent anti-venom. So if that's how easy it would be please bring on hasbro.

Marvel Legends are easier to find than Mattel WWE because more stores order them and they have better advertising with MCU films.

I was able to buy the walgreens exclusive marvel legends mystique for $28 shipped on July 5th off of ebay. I could not find this figure in my area so maybe it sold out fast or none of the stores got it. Now compare that to the target exclusive liv morgan figure for a minute. Good luck getting that figure for anywhere near that price anywhere online. Now even with the price now finally falling to a somewhat realistic numbers with all the scalpers cannibalizing each other right now. Bottom line is this, this Chase figure concept needs to end or mattels license with wwe needs to end.

Store exclusives can be very frustrating when they're only made available at the store. I haven't had issues obtaining Target exclusives and recently they've made some available online. But for me Walmart has become the bane of my collecting experience and not just for WWE figures. The last Walmart exclusive I was able to find in-store was Backlund. Since then, nothing. And that was at the location near my job. My local Walmart is the pits. The action figure aisle has withered away and it's rare to find ANYTHING new.
I searched eBay this morning for Pat Patterson and found one for $25, shipped. It doesn't look like I'll get that good of a deal on Sherri, but not many alternatives at this point.
