So a few months ago I decided I wanted this Chris Jericho figure because I always loved the purple tights and I thought the likeness was great given the BCA/TTL-esque style. 02/03 I was graduating high school and I was slowing down a ton on collecting wrestling figures. So I don't know that I realized most of this stuff even came out. The Jericho took me to the Hogan, which I absolutely love, and then the Hogan figure took me down the rabbit hole. I still have a handful I want, like Brock, Christian, Booker, Billy Gunn, Benoit and Eddie, but I have to say this has been a really fun kind of mini collection to start. I also added the Piper during the same time so I included that as well. Awesome pics. I have a number of them myself, but I'm not optimistic about completing the line anytime soon. Locating the Grudge Brawlers series for a decent price is like trying to find a needle in multiple haystacks. The rest shouldn't be too difficult for you to track down, especially if you don't mind shopping for used figures. I wouldn't say these were ever on my radar back then (I was just entering high school and had stopped collecting at the time you mentioned), but now I can appreciate having them as a companion of sorts to my regular BCA collection. It's better than nothing.

That’s really cool man, some absolute gems in there. I remember having the Kurt Angle when I was younger. One of the new era BCA’s I always wanted was the 2001 era Kane. I’ve never seen one MOC for sale. If you can get it, you should. Amazing figure.

Were these in scale with the original BCA's?
I still love the idea of Mattel having a bash at making these. But they've gotta be like the originals (IE: bodies completely unbefitting of the wrestler, appalling likeness, the works)

When I finally brought it home it was like half an inch taller than the rest, if not taller. Very upsetting as an 11 year old....hell, still upsetting today lol

As 3Lephant (Naptown Icon) said, they were about an inch taller than the original BCA figures. Much closer to the TTL scale. Body types were completely different, as seen here. If anything, they remind me of the Back Talkin' Crushers style of figures, which never really gelled with me either.

I didn't think that these was that bad of a style at all I liked them alot. I just wish we would have gotten more than we did before they switched the entire backlash series over to the tron style bodys for the reminder of the series just imagine everyone we would have gotten in this Bca style had they remained like this till the end

That Big Show is terrible lol.
Even now at his most fit, Show has never been that skinny.

I've always loved that Kurt Angle and Edge. Very cool attire choices, and they fit the style very well.

Went to my local Toys R Us with my grandma as a kid after talking her into letting me go lol. I remember regular BCA's not being on the sleeves and being confused when seeing that Angle wave at first. Went home with the Angle and Jeff Hardy BCA's, and saw they were so much taller and it broke my heart. I only really used Angle and resented then Jeff lol.
