Super 7 has been super late with all their products. I paid for the figures when they come they come, it would be nice if they hit their shipping dates but everything has always been about 2-3 months after they say it's going to come. It's the cost of pre-order toy collecting. The comic-conan was nearly 2 years late, the NJPW figures are about 4 months later than anticipated. Their end work has been much better than before will be stoked to get these.

Per Brian Flynn in a reply to someone on a Disney Ultimates post on instagram, the New Japan figures are due out at the end of the year.

END OF THE YEAR? Notice he didn't say the end of which year... Picture it: late 2026. Okada has retired. Tanahashi is in an iron lung, Ospreay is in NXT and Ishii is an invalid from all the head trauma. And we still don't have an official ship date.

And we still don't have an official ship date. I've been laughing at this for about 5 minutes straight now. I literally laughed myself out in my office, walked to the kitchen to get a drink, and burst out laughing again thinking about it. Absolute gold, so many layers lol

They sent out an email update to preorder holders that was a whole lot of ing nothing. They even reused the render prototypes from last November in the email instead of the hand painted prototypes we saw in May.

Exact message:
NJPW Wave 1 Update Hello Everyone!
We wanted to check in with you on the New Japanese Pro Wrestling Ultimates! Wave 1 Pre-order. As many of you may know, all of our figures are custom made and produced in exact numbers. Because of this unique approach to toy design, the production process takes a bit longer than other toy lines, but the results are worth the wait! Please be on the lookout for production updates (including some exciting test shot photos!) as we continue through the manufacturing process.
Thank you again for your support of New Japanese Pro Wrestling and Super7!

Maybe New Japan are dragging their feet with approvals because Super7 just isn't sure what the company's name actually is.

Super 7 gives early estimated dates. Most companies say it takes about a year from start to finish on a production. Masters of the Universe figures have always been late from Super 7. I've ordered a bunch of stuff from them there stuff is worth the wait though as the figures have gotten better each time. Thundercats was early spring from them and now its late summer possibly September. Every so often you get an update from them on their lines.

Just saw that post on Instagram with the shop I ordered from.
They're not coming out this year.
They said their suppliers now have the release date set at March 2021 and wave 2 looking like it'll be delayed past April 2021.
Yeah. Finally maybe getting wave 1 when we should be getting wave 2.... probably not. Can't wait for my LIJ figures in 2023!
