Just got around to watching the Fight Pit and holy crap what a brutal finish. I love Thatcher so much.

Just watched the 1 hour version on Hulu. I forgot Wade Barrett was on commentary, but once he started doing his growly voice I remembered he's a perfect fit. lol
Ruff & KUSHIDA vs Gargano & Theory was fine. Still bummed that KUSHIDA left NJPW and hasn't done anything in WWE. Even if he wins the title from Gargano, feels like too little too late.
Balor vs Dunne should be a lot of fun. I'm guessing that's at TakeOver. If they get the time and creative freedom, it could be an early Match of the Year contender.
Still not sure why Uncle Paul is so into Killer Kross. It was kinda funny to have that big entrance and then when the music cut there was just murmuring. No cheering, no booing. Just background noise.
Imperium vs LHP was fun. Both teams killed it. I'd be into an Aichner singles run either in NXT or NXTUK.
If we're bringing UK guys over, PLEASE bring Tyler Bate over. ffs
Women's tag was fine. Not a big fan of Toni Storm getting pinned clean (she should be one of their top women).
(In my biggest growly voice) WELCOME TO THE FIIIIIIIIIGHT PIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIT
Prince & O'Reilly teaming up is rad, but there were WAY too many long pauses. lol Looks like I'll be back next week for that tag match.
With Ciampa's NXT injury history in mind, I kinda had a hard time watching the Fight Pit match. That said, these guys are pros and worked pretty safe all things considered. I didn't like this as much as the 1st fight pit match, but it was pretty solid.

I'm definitely in the minority here but I'm just not that big on Toni Storm. I've seen a decent amount of her pre WWE stuff too, and I'm not saying she's bad by any stretch. Honestly though there's a long list of NXT women I'd rather see at the top than her. She's just never really clicked that much for me at all.

Honestly, considering how much I love the NXTs women’s division and consider it the best division in pro wrestling, Storm just doesn’t impress me as much as others.

I agree with the others I like Toni but I could name at least 7 or more I think deserve the top spot over her.

There’s not a single doubt in my mind that Ciampa and Thatcher are winning the Dusty Classic.
Sadly, I see MSK being eliminated this week.

I went back and watched Worlds Collide yesterday and thought how slow/sloppy Toni looked in her match with Rhea. You could even tell Rhea was kinda pissed after the match. Not knocking Storm but as others mentioned she’s kind of fallen off radar for me when you look at the rest of the talent that NXT has in the women’s division. I’d love to see Kai get a push but I can tell its going to be Raquel thats the one pushed in the duo.
Also looking forward to Balor/Dunne. Dunne’s heel stuff has been ruthless, him and Balor should certainly but on a good show at the next Takeover.

Pretty mediocre episode last night.
Opener was good as expected.
Women's tag was fine. We had our one upset so the rest of the first round was going to be really predictable after Toni/Mercedes lost.
I do like this Tyler Rust fellow.
Men's Dusty match was decent.
I have zero interest in Bronson or Swerve in general.
Likewise I have no real interest in seeing Toni in the title picture, so that was a bit disappointing. If that's who Io drops it too I'll be pretty sad.
Main event served its purpose. I love both Finn and O'Reilly but Lorcan/Burch don't really do a darn thing for me. They're fine workers but they're very bland.
Nothing particularly horrid, but nothing that really got me invested in any story either. NXT roster feels a little awkward right now really. At least on the men's side.

On other news, reports going around that Meiko Satomura has now officially signed to be part of NXT UK. There were reports from last year about it, but obviously covid can kinda change timelines on these sorts of things.
Meiko is 41 now, so definitely past her prime, but has had a stellar career in Joshi wrestling. Cofounder of the Joshi promotion Sendai Girls, did some American appearances for WCW and the Mae Young classic. She's signing on as a player/coach, with the latter likely being the more important factor here.

I'll check out the main, but Lorcan & Burch have jumped the shark for me as well.

I'm not sure it's the best idea to have 3 Dusty Cup matches then a separate tag match main event in one night.
Maybe it would have been a better idea to have the women's one in the summer or something.

So, it's not 'Toni time'... it's time to turn on Toni She definitely deserves a push over that trash, Gonzales.

Hopefully Dunne dethrones The Prince at TakeOver.

Watched the other women's tag on 205. Already knew it to be the case from watching them elsewhere, but Zoey Stark (Lacey Ryan) is easily the most polished in ring of the 3 new signees. I still think Black has the highest ceiling, but she's only 20 so she's got a lot of experience to gain first. Shafir didn't look great by any stretch, but I will say she looks significantly better than the last time I saw her actually wrestle. (Not counting the random Raw underground appearances).

Edge vs Finn would be ing wild but it’ll never happen at Mania. Hell just give me Finn, Edge, and Kyle vs Dunne, Oney, and Burch and I’ll be over the moon. It’s crazy how many literal dream matches there are now for me with Edge and Christian back.
