I don't really care that Itami/KENTA no longer works for WWE. It's not like he's working for AEW.
You made the figure. The paint and tooling is all done. Release it anyway. Itami was under WWE/NXT banner for years and we never got ONE elite figure. I want that Elite Itami. So go ahead and release it.
Someone give me one good legitimate reason the Itami figure shouldn't be released.

Because they’d lose a ton of money in the lawsuit and legal complications from doing so

I mean...who TF even cares that Jay White doesn’t work for WWE? Make an Elite of him anyway, because I want one and that should be grounds enough!

I'll give you a good objective reason and a good subjective reason: In the real world, we can't just do whatever we want without fear of reprisal in the form of legal redress. Kenta Kobayashi is currently under contract to NJPW, and thus (most likely) couldn't sign a merchandise deal with the WWE even if anyone wanted to. The other reason is that the figure would probably sell like dogcrap. Had the figure been finished off, produced, and packaged, they probably would have found a way to sell it, and seeing how they didn't do this, the figure probably didn't make it far enough into production to be a loss, and was cancelled.

Its not like theyre working for AEW. Also, your Astros are getting their asses kicked right now.

Yes release a figure of a guy who was in WWE for five years but out with injuries for three of them 😂. He has two Basics which was one too many.

I'm surprised we haven't seen his figure pop up online like the Series 1 Jeff Hardy.

Ringside released an exclusive ECW CM Punk figure after he quit WWE.

Your opinion it would sell like dogcrap isn't a legitimate, objective reason. They created a prototype of the figure and it was painted and ready to go. So they were at one point committed to making one. Show me the contracts and the lengths that prevent them from releasing it and I will believe it.

I've got a KENTA custom. If Mattel doesn't want my money, hug 'em.
