Just picked up a E25 Bruno loose off eBay (always wanted that figure) but it just occurred to me: do we have anyone else from that era to pit him against? I know we sort of got a Larry

Maybe we'll get an NWA Harley Race. I'd say Zbysko is your best bet for now. Insert the "where the is my Superstar Billy Graham" crowd.

The Wild Samoans and Andre the Giant (TRUs exclusive). Also, he returned in 1984/85 and wrestled Savage and Brutus and Piper, among others. However, there are not a lot of guys from his era (1963-1980) to choose from.

I’d love a billy Graham and Jesse Ventura. Could probably add Backlund to the list from that era too.

Stan Stasiak, Buddy Rogers, Antonino Rocca, Nick Bockwinkel, Boris Malenko and Rufus Jones are all in the WWE Hall of Fame and therefore, should get figures made. Mattel needs to get on it, doggone it!

The figure depicts him going into the hall of fame. He was inducted in 2013. There’s plenty of people made from that time frame.

Even though they made a Stooge Pat Patterson without the accessories the figure still works for a 70’s version. So that would be around the timeframe where Bruno first retired. The figure depicts him going into the hall of fame. He was inducted in 2013. There’s plenty of people made from that time frame. He went into the HOF wearing is trunks?

Given that he was World Champion for 3 years, Pedro Morales seems like a no brainer.

And grew his hair back out and shaved his mustache too.

yeah its a neglected time frame...probably because the figures are kind of plain from a design POV. BUT...saying that Jesse Ventura & Superstar Billy Graham would make GREAT figures.

Off the top of my head Superstar Bill Graham Pedro Morales Dory Funk jr Larry Zybyzko younger look (kind of like the remco) NWA Harley Race Younger Dusty Rhodes Stan Hansen Nick Bockwinkle
I’d really like an older Sammartino from the mid 80s from his feuds with Macho Man and Roddy Piper
I don’t think we’ll be getting many figures from this era, in a previous Q&A Bill said 1985 is pretty much the cut off for him, said there isn’t much of a market for prior to that.

Jakks has more people to choose from for that era of the WWWF. But for Mattel, if you go with like 1975 to 1984... Bruno Sammartino Larry Zbyszko George "The Animal" Steele Nikolai Volkoff Big John Studd Andre The Gaint Wild Samoans Bob Backlund Jimmy Snuka Don Muraco Rick Martel Tito Santana Greg Valentine Iron Sheik
That's all I can think of off the top of my head. Of course you would have to change some of their outfits to fit the WWWF era, but the guys are out there for that era.
