Honestly, jakks wise I wouldn't disagree. From the fact he was 8 ft tall, to the annoying way he was packaged in the Kane/Taker 3 pack, I just don't like any Classic Superstars Paul Bearers. Mattel got it right but if we are strictly talking Jakks then his BCA era figures were his best.

I mean he was pretty big back then! |

I agree.Few years back I picked up the classic Jakks two pack circa 97 with Mankind MOC for just 10 bucks.

The old school Undertaker was a must for me and I thought it would just be an added bonus to have a classic Paul Bearer to display next to him. What a joke. He TOWERED over The Undertaker to the point where just displaying them next to each other bothered me. Sadly, that figure was still better than his solo release in Series 9. Not only was he still a giant, but that horrible attempt at using real fabric for his undershirt was embarrassingly bad. Would have much rather used that early BCA era Paul Bearer as a fill-in. |

The BCA era Bearer beats all of them, even the Mattel ones IMO. That being said, I really really liked the Bad Bloodd box set with Paul Bearer wearing no makeup. I still regret not having that figure growing up

Mattel did pretty good with the head but, as others have said, made him too slim. Theres a couple of BCAs that I think are far better than Mattel for nailing the character, the Big Show Paul Wight figure is another one.

His face was always a little cartoonish for my taste but I still enjoyed the figure! If I still collected, I would head swap or retrofit a Classic head or even Mattel head onto the BCA Bearer.
