Have we gotten an answer regarding him?
If a classic JJ or WCW "Chosen One" JJ aren't announced by SDCC 2020 I think I might cry.

He’s not signed. Didn’t someone say it was because he doesn’t own the rights to his name? Sort of like the situation Steamboat was in for all those years.

I'm pretty sure Impact still owns the rights to his likeness or something. Last I read Jarrett wad trying to resolve it.

Jarrett is my second most wanted figure. I hope they can announce one coming soon. I never thought we would ever get one though

Never understood when they say that another company owns their likeness. I see if he wore a mask or something.

Soooooooo over due. Made multiple appearances & was involved in a few matches. Inducted into the HOF. I don’t see how another company can “own” his name. It’s his real name isn’t it? WWE has promoted him as Jeff Jarrett multiple times.

Even if he signed a deal when he got inducted into the hall of fame and Mattel got to work right away, the earliest his figure would've been released was road to wrestlemania season this year, so it's not long overdue. Also, how can someone own the rights to his name if Jeff Jarrett is his real name?

A quick net search shows he filed something in February this year against Anthem(impact) to reclaim rights to his name. Nothing ruled on yet. Hopefully it goes his way.

Never understood when they say that another company owns their likeness. I see if he wore a mask or something. Someone gave him money for the exclusive rights to make merchandise of him. For the duration of that contract, nobody else can make merchandise of him - hence his attempt to get out of the contract.

I think it has to do with Impact still owning the rights to his name so while Double J is employed with WWE and a lot of the legends working backstage or in the performance center have figs on the way (Hurricane) or had them made earlier (Scotty 2 Hotty, Red Rooster, Road Dogg). Still doesn't explain why we've yet to get a Michael Hayes in any capacity from Freebirds to Dok Hendrix.
These kind of litigations take a while to settle but hopefully like the concussion suit it gets settled promptly. I wouldn't mind a New Gen Jarrett or Attitude Era/WCW look.

Anthem still owns the trademark to the Jeff Jarrett name, expressly for the purposes of (among other uses) "toy action figures and accessories".

As others have mentioned, Jarrett is involved with a lawsuit to get the rights back to his name and likeness. The latest deadline for expert witness deposition is January 13, 2020. So Jeff Jarrett in 2021 maybe? source for info: Two Counts Dismissed in Jarrett Lawsuit

I'd probably buy one in his shorts he wore thru his WCW and TNA days. No interest in the earlier incarnations of him.
Not that he's a necessity by any means. Guy would break 10,000 plastic guitars in my fed and never draw a f*cking dime.
