We really going to do this again this year? Every year there’s posts about empty pegs and old figures around this time .Figured some of you had some sort of memory. Around this time? Man, pegs have been empty across the country all year. The amount of empty peg reports and pictures is ridiculous. My Walmart carries Elites for a week and then goes without them for 2-4 months. And that's increasingly more common. Not sure why people have to always be the devils advocate on this subject. It's a real issue.
Literally has zero to do with the time of the year.
It has everything to do with the time of year. Every holiday season, this board is packed with speculation and complaining about stores (specifically Walmart) not have any figures or old figures. They clear out what they have and put new stuff out during the reset which is in the beginning of January. Again, same thing happens around this time every year. Don’t let paranoia get ya |

The problem is with it being this time of year that product doesn’t get stocked any quicker or in higher quantities than any other time of year.

Don’t let paranoia get ya You are correct about the post holiday/pre-reset drought, which everyone should expect, but the inventory issues caused by the Elite 69 UPC screw-up has nothing to do with the holidays. That mistake has rendered the auto-order feature completely useless in two stores in my area. One stores shows an inventory of 22 and the other 18. They haven't received an Elite order for months because the system thinks they have inventory. Not every inventory issue out there has to do with this time of the year. |

I hit up a lot of Walmarts in my area thanks to work. All of my walmarts are LOADED with toys, pallets out the butt and employees opening boxes seemingly all the time. And each of these Walmarts only has the new BP and some basic AJ's. They completely skip waves which is how I never got Sherri, and now I fear I am not going to see Gorilla either. This hobby isn't fun, it's maddening and I don't really have any reason to continue.

I feel for you. Not getting a reasonable shot at Elites is deflating. I've missed 3 good sets I really wanted some figures out of. Refuse to pay eBay+shipping.

In my area it has nothing to do with this time of year. All year long there are empty shelves where there should be elites. Again, in stock for a week then no elites for 2-3 months.

I think my most local Walmart is playing games with me.
This particular Walmart has had a single Brie Bella 68 on the pegs for roughly the last 1 1/2 months and maybe even 2 months. Today I stopped by and my mind was absolutely blown. TWO Brie Bella 68s on the pegs. Whaaat?!

There's no "reality" here. It's poor business. 1 case of Elites in 3 months when there is a significant demand for more (I personally know at least 4 collectors in my area...never mind basic demand) is unacceptable.
For some to continue to argue that this isn't happening at some stores is ridiculous.

Any comment you make on this issue going forward means nothing. oh, one more thing. When it comes to the stores near you, maybe you should heed your own advice. Or I guess you only do that when it fits your agenda. Again as someone else stated... What you have seen does not speak for the whole country I see no point in discussing this with you further. Saw an EC3 last time, a lone Patterson from E68 the time before that. This store has had new cases in recent months. Maybe returns or someone trying to hide it. |
