McFarlane Toy's [glow=black,4,500]Terminator III: Rise Of The Machines[/glow] "T-850 Terminator With Coffin"
(Credit Spawn.com for the MOC pic, I have owned mine for about 2 years, and have since opened it.)
McFarlane Toy's Terminator 3: Rise Of The Machines: "T-850 Terminator With Coffin"
Price: Roughly 10$
Purchased From: eBay, several years ago
[glow=black,2,300]T-850[/glow]
"John Connor: No, you shouldn't exist. We took out Cyberdyne over ten years ago. We stopped Judgment Day.
Terminator: You only postponed it. Judgment Day is inevitable. "
Size: 7 1/8" Tall
Accessories: "Custom base with integrated foot peg, soft jacket, drum-fed heavy machine gun with soft detachable strap, massive coffin filled with enough loud goodies to decimate the entire Eastern seaboard."
Packaging: Clamshell
Paint Application/Sculpt: Some people may have passed on these figures simply because they didn't like the T3 Movie, which is understandable. However, it is in my opinion that this figure is the best 6" scale representation of not only The Terminator character, but any Arnold Schwarzenegger character. The T-850 is sculpted in a pose from the cemetary scene in the movie where he is carrying a coffin on his shoulder while firing a machine gun. The detail in this figure is incredible. From the battle damage to his face, to the bullet holes in his clothing, to the bullet dents in the coffin, this figure is about as detailed as they come. The likeness to Schwarzenegger is extraordinary, especially after the disappointing Movie Maniacs 4 Terminator.~ 10/10
Accessories: I don't see how they could have improved upon this area with this figure. Not only does he come with the gun he should have, he also comes with the coffin, that opens and holds five other loose weapon pieces, and other weapon pieces that are mounted down and not removable. An underrated part of this figure is the base. The shattered stained glass at the feet is a really nice touch, and along with the green of the grass, adds a lot of color.~ 10/10
Articulation: This figure features 9 points of articulation, but they are generally unusable. There is really only one pose you can put him in, and like many McFarlane figures, he is not really a toy that is meant to be played with, but a figure that is meant to be displayed. ~ 2/10
Overall: Whether you liked "Rise of the Machines" or not is another topic for discussion, but you'd be hard pressed to say that the figures aren't nice. Even if you liked the movies before T3, I don't feel those movies have an accurate representation of the Terminator character(yet)... this figure, and the other T-850 in the line are one and two in the pecking order of best Terminator action figures. Eventhough they were fairly easy to find, and even went on clearance around here due to their abundance, that doesn't mean you are getting a mediocre figure. McFarlane did a top notch job with the Terminator 3 Lineup, and even now over two years after the release of the movie, these figures can be had on eBay or several online stores for a reasonable price.~ 10/10(not an average)
