WWE claims Myles approved the design. Make of it what you will.

I've been following along on this since yesterday. It got ugly fast. Myles even went after ROH & Jay Lethal.
It took me ten minutes till I realized what COULD be considered blackface. But I could also understand if didn't dawn on anyone. I honestly don't believe anyone in NXT intended to offend anyone. It was a poorly drawn smile for a guy who smiles a lot. Everyone in WWE gets a black shirt.
Myles admits that he did approve the logo but only when it was on a white shirt. Once he saw it on a black shirt he brought it to their attention and the canceled the shirt immediately.
Rumors are he hasn't been at the performance center in weeks. So I wonder if he's saying and doing these things to get released?

The fact that nobody really noticed shows just how much that old design that they used to stereotype black people had faded out.
If nobody sees something as racist, it most likely isn’t. If someone seeks out the racism in something, it’ll just fuel it and continue to have said thing be labeled as “racist”.
I am fully aware of the designs they’d draw of African American people decades ago, but if nothing was said about that shirt, I would have never noticed.
It’s only racist if you seek out racism, otherwise it’s just a plain old object, phrase, design, remark, etc.

Winner Winner Chicken Dinner.Clearly he's going off the rails to try and get fired, problem is the way he's acting right now can have long term damage to his career. Its never good to burn bridges which he's clearly done with WWE & ROH.If I was another company I would have very little interest in bring him in if this is the way he handles business.bty no big lose for WWE to straight out cut him as theirs tons of guys on the main roster and in NXT that can do the same type of flip, flop and fly style that ACH does and same goes for any company as well who can find any number of indy guys to do the same thing.
To me the way he's acting and burning bridges is a combo platter of Austins Aries & Antonio Brown.

Meh. It’s a shirt and a horrible design anyway.
If he wants out, let him leave. ACH isn’t gonna be a future star in the WWE.

Going off on ROH, Jay Lethal and some Tweet about being the brain that will change the world, it makes me wonder if he isn't having some kind of breakdown. Even if this is all about getting out of his deal, what company in their right mind would want him now?

When you search WWE shop for shirts, 52 varieties show up on the front page. Only 12 aren’t black, and of those, 6 are Raw red or SD blue. Even if he wasn’t trying to get his release, this seems like a bit much
They even offered him a gray base color in the email.
...they also refer to him as Albert, but use Triple H instead of Paul. That’s kinda funny.

The guy wants to be in AEW or New Japan. A crappy shirt for a guy with a crappy name/gimmick.

That’s kinda funny. They used Road Dogg too. Referring to them as their Kayfabe names in the email was the best past of this. It’s one thing to be upset about the shirt. It’s another to go after Jay Lethal, whos in another company, and use a racist term against him. I can see where he’s coming from after he brings it up, but it’s a stretch IMO. I feel like neither story is jiving, but I’m gonna lean towards the WWE on this one. This sounds like he wanted out, and despite the WWE taking down the shirt, he still goes off on it a month later. After this though, I don’t see the WWE letting him go right away for PR, and I don’t see any other orgs interested in him. The Young Bucks have commented in the past that they don’t like him, and attacking Jay Lethal means ROH is likely out too. I see the WWE keeping him for a bit but having him loose close contests for a bit. Then he’ll eventually start jobbing before he’s off TV. Eventually he’ll be future endeavored and he’ll likely be looking outside the US for employment in this industry.

No promoter is ever going to touch this guy after this, he might have completely ruined his wrestling career

To be honest, I didn't see the original design as a mouth until it was pointed out. If Myles feels uncomfortable with it, especially if he felt that it had a racist undertone, then changing it was a good move by WWE. However, Myles didn't have to disparage Jay Lethal in the process.

Yeah this will end well. I totally trust WF to understand how a minority could be offended by something somewhat resembling something that was used to mock their race for decades and have perfectly civil takes on the matter.

Most WWE shirts suck anyways so dude needs to chill out. I'm sure it was an honest mistake, it took a bunch of photos to finally see how it can be racist. Had no one pointed out, I wouldn't have realized it.
