Not here to dunk on Dave Meltzer. But here we go.

So strange. What kind of source does Meltzer have that gave him wrong information on if a guy did or did not make a speech?

I mean there are probably worse things you could claim Seth did than give a speech. But you never know.

Could have been someone in the company looking to sink Meltzer that fed him bad info. That's what took down Dan Rather.

lot’s of meltzer’s actual reporting it good - but speculation is mostly bullcrap and rumors.
sometimes the truth tells. and it will be easy to identify the source of non-info for how it could’ve benefitted them. which means the wrestlers work the sheets so it’s all just bs basically.

when are wrestling fans going to stop taking everything meltzer says as 100% gospel truth? this is part of the problem with wrestling in general, its part of why the internet/hardcore fanbase is so jaded and miserable on the product. so many people take these backstage "reports" seriously and then let it affect their thoughts and feelings on the product. when what seems like hundreds of people in the business through the years have came out and said all kinds of things in direct contrast to what meltzer "reported"
why is humanity so stupid in that everyone ALWAYS takes the first word they hear or read and believes that, and everything else is just a lie or untrue. i guarantee there are still a ton of people who think seth is just lying now and being a "company guy". it makes no sense.

Spot on, wrestling is so much more enjoyable when you don’t read “dirtsheets”

My guess is that it is the same person who fed Ryan Satin the info about Bayley and Banks, assuming its false.

I just think in this situation, people heard exactly what they wanted to hear from Dave. It was an opportunity to pile on Seth Rollins, and that's the edgy thing to do right now. Because it's 1996...

Seth has officially entered that weird ‘company’s babyface that’s actually the company’s biggest heel’ similar to reigns or cena. which is beyond weird because while Seth maybe should delete Twitter, his wrestling career has been nothing less than amazing.

This sounds like a TERRIBLE main event.
Meh, I say Rollins goes over after four Curb Stomps.

I mean say what you will about Meltzer’s reviewing of matches or input in angle etc. His correct vs incorrect percentage is highly questionable. He is so often wrong on what he reports, I can’t even believe people try to take him as fact anymore. He also tries to take credit for being right when he doesn’t predict anything. He will openly talk about things he hears but then often when something happens he goes “I knew about this” “I heard this but I didn’t wanna say anything” and it’s like you report on stuff all the time! Why didn’t you report this if you knew?

Dave Meltzer means absolutely nothing to me. Have never read his reports and don't plan to do so.
I enjoy chilling out and watching wrestling without all the dirt sheet nonsense.

Meltzer is an AEW shill... of course he’s going to peddle misinformation about their rivals top guy in an attempt to make him/ the company look bad.
Screw this guy.

It’s an interesting one. Seth Rollins has made his name working the style of wrestling that Meltzer made popular in the US (even if you’re not a Meltzer fan, if you’re one of the “workrate rulz, matches should be longer, gimmicks suck, push Cesaro and cruisers” type of fan, then you’re a third generation Meltzerite)... and now he’s become pretty much the first top guy ever to spend his time arguing online with Meltzer. And it’s happening at a time when Seth is the current biggest internet heel in wrestling anyway, and at a time when Meltzer is shilling another promotion anyway.
Personally, I don’t think Dave is intentionally trying to mislead anyone or disparage Seth. But he is, unfortunately, really easy to fool. Wrestlers have been working him for decades, and you have to keep that in mind when he reports anything.
