So I have never been to a wrestlemania or attended any of the activities during the week despite being a life long wrestling fan. I plan to rectify that come wrestlemania 36 in Tampa. I've always wanted to attend fan axxess and was wanting everyone here who has been to tell me how it all works with different sessions, autographs, photos etc. I'm also curious to know if the exhibits/attractions inside change yearly? Feel free to share your own personal experiences as well!

I went to Royal Rumble and Wrestlemania Axxess this year. Personally, I found the setup to be a lot of fun. There can be some long lines and you’re not guaranteed to get what you got in line for, but it’s free with the price of admission.
For VIP superstars, you have to pay extra and you can only go during their appearance time. You go up, get and autograph and a picture. It’s quick, but worth it to get to meet the top tier superstars. Each VIP ticket is specific to a superstar. So if you want to see 2 VIP superstars in one session, you need to buy 2 VIP tickets.
As for the rest, it’s really cool. Depending on the size of the venue each session has a number of photo op booths and autographing tables. They kinda don’t really announce who will be where, doing what, at what time do you need to read the signs or ask people. At Royal Rumble Axxess for example, it was the first session and I happened to be walking past a photo op booth and Paige peaked out and was like “Doesn’t anyone wanna come take some pictures?”
Photo ops and autographs work pretty much the same way. With photo ops, there’s usually 3 or 4 superstars or teams lined up in successive booths. You go in, get your picture taken with superstar #1, then continue to #2, and so on. It’s generally a mix of higher end talent and lower level people. Pretty cool way to mix it up because you get introduced to people you’d likely skip over otherwise. After each picture you’re given a receipt with a code on it. After a half hour, you can go on the website on the receipt, type in your code, and download your pics. For an extra fee you can go over to an area where they can print your pics out for you.
Autographs work the same way. It’s a mix of talent sitting at a long table. You can get an autograph, and if they have time you can get a selfie too. Always ask about the selfie though. Sometimes the lines are really long so the people running the tables won’t allow pictures because they want as many people as possible to get to meet the superstars. Or if the superstars are getting close to their cutoff time, they’ll stop allowing selfies. Funny story. At Royal Rumble I was at a table with Sanity, Gallows and Anderson, and Apollo. It was starting to get late, I got a selfie with Sanity. I asked Gallows and Anderson for a selfie. They agreed but the person running the table came over and was like “Sorry. We’re going to have to stop pictures so we can get through some more of the line before the session ends, but I can move you down to Apollo.” I understood and didn’t have a problem but we all started laughing when Anderson was like “Sorry we can’t do a selfie. But you can meet Apollo. That’s cool!... I guess. I mean it’s just Apollo but he’s a nice guy.”
The thing with how the superstars change out though is each session is usually 4 hours. Early on the first shift of superstars will come out and fill the photo ops and autograph tables. After 2 hours they do a shift change and the talent changes. It’s possible for a superstar to move from autographs to photo ops but usually if they do one in one session, they do the other in a different session. If you’re on a line and the shift change comes, you can leave and go to a new line or stay there and wait for the next shift.
The exhibits seems to change based on the size of the venue. Royal Rumble was in a smaller convention center so there weren’t a ton of exhibits. Wrestlemania had a ton, including an old school ring you could go in and get some pics taken. Both did have a spot where you can hold the WWE title and get a pic with a cardboard cutout of Triple H pointing at you.
Also cool is both had a mini arena set up where you can watch live matches and Q&As and stuff.
It can be pretty hectic but you get a lot of bang for your buck with simple GA. Between those two Axxesses (I went to multiple sessions for each) I got to meet Kane, Big Show, Pete Dunne, Asuka, Paige, Samoa Joe, Undisputed Era, Alexa Bliss, Johnny Gargano, Keith Lee, (then) War Raiders, Kairi Sane, B Team, Gallows and Anderson, Alundra Blayze, Sanity, Apollo, Humberto Carillo, Imperium, and a bunch more all for free.

Very nice response! Are autographs and photos free? Does anyone know when axxess tickets even go on sale?

Very nice response! Are autographs and photos free? Does anyone know when axxess tickets even go on sale? Most are free except for the “VIP” talents. There’s usually like 4 per session (2 for each 2 hour shift). Other than that, everything is free.

Yeah I went and looked up info from last year and saw they had premium VIP passes, standard VIP and general admission. I would be happy just meeting a few favorites from the past and current roster
