I’m personally not a fan of the new Torso they’re using for Andrade. I don’t think the Daniel Bryan torso suits anyone to be honest, but I was wondering what torso do you guys think Andrade should come with?
I’m tossing up between Del Rio or an Austin torso
Let me know what you think!

An Austin torso would be way too large for Andrade. The guy may be in good shape but you gotta remember he is around 5'8-5'9. He is not big. The Sin Cara body in its entirety is best for Almas. It's almost like it's made for him. Mattel, you've shown you can do it, now give us this (even if it means no real kneepads):

I was thinking the Del Rio torso. The Austin torso has the shape, but I think it’s too large for him. Maybe even the Terry Funk torso could work.
His NXT Elite just seems way too tiny though. We need something a little bigger.

They should have just stuck with the Sin Cara torso. I’m not sure why they would have switched it out with the one they did.

Yeah, the sin cara torso looked way better. Mattel has done this kind of stuff before, most notably with the DM crow sting. They used the LOD, Bret arms and then swapped them out later for the roided triple h arms.

Even if the thing is accurate, a World in which Andrade is shorter than Scotty 2 Hotty (as is the case with the NXT fig) in unfathomable to me.

I really would like to know the "process" behind part selection. I know they will never tell us, but it just seems so bizarre to me how they have the right parts to make the figures look accurate, but they are quite often choosing the WRONG ones....I don't think it's design flaw, it's got to be somewhere else in the process. I'd just love to know the actual answer some day...I've always been curious of the real process of how a figure comes together besides just the generic explanations we've always heard

I really think Mattel needs to make a new torso mold for guys like Ali, Ricochet, Strong, Bálor, Cedric and Andrade where the Bryan torso is too small but the Ripped torso is to large for them. I think maybe the ADR torso would be the best fit for Andrade

Actually I think the usos elite with the big/small torso and pants mold would be great for almas just on a smaller scale

I'm alright with the Sin Cara torso on the NXT figure; it just needs the bigger thighs from the prototype as opposed to the baby legs. I do wonder about that Bobby Roode torso for Almas. It has a broad chest, but it's still very lean - bigger than Sin Cara but smaller than Steve Austin's.

This'll probably be another case like Kevin Owens, Johnny Gargano etc...
Where they'll use the entirely wrong part that makes no sense at all, and despite the fact that 90% of people hate it and ask for it to be changed, they'll repeat it on the next Elite or 2.
Then in a random QnA, a question about it will come up and they'll respond with say "We'll look into it" while acting like they never heard anyone complain about it before.

Yeah I have to agree with you- I think the Austin torso was a tad smaller it would be perfect as the shape is definitely there

Another thing I just thought of, would you bother changing the boots? If so what would you change to. I’d honestly rather kick pads than the laced boots so I was thinking maybe a lower leg swap with the regular elite Ali. Maybe even some legends LOD boots.

I’ve seen people using the DM GAB Sting boots

He needs loose fitting tights, too. He wears a unique style and the figures all depict skinny legs that throw his likeness off. Mattel nailed his jacket, at least.
