Since it appears that Sheamus returned on Smackdown last night without physically returning but instead cut a promo on the state of Snackdown, should Sheamus be a main event heel on Smackdown?
Sheamus is back to his old look of the beard and the spiky hair...but now that he is back to his old self, who should his first feud be with?

After Roman jobs out the Fiend at Mania for the title, he'll need someone to feud with...

Keep him in the mid card. Vince has pushed him repeatedly and he never draws a dime and looking back at his return promo the crowd didn't even pop.
He just isn't a main event player.

As a fan, I hope he gets one last decent run. I hope he feuds with Nakamura over the IC Title and becomes a grand slam champion. After that, maybe Ali or Reigns? Depending on if he's going to be a face or heel

I have never minded having Sheamus on the roster. He is good as a serious wrestler and he has a good bit of humor displayed when he wants to.

Sheamus is a perfect upper mid card heel. He can be a 2md tier champion, occasionally challenge a top tier talent, maybe even win a few. But you cant really push him because nobody cares.

I'm hoping the spiky hair also leads to his original music coming back.

I didn’t start off as a fan, but he’s proven to be endearing. I could see him being a quality upper heel.

Shorty G, Ali, Bryan, Braun would all be good.
Or if he’s a babyface, then Corbin and Nakamura.
Some solid matchups either way.

A Shorty G...whatever the hell that is...I just love Sheamus making fun of Gable in his promo but that basically Smackdown used to be the land of opportunity but now it has become pathetic in his eyes as he ran down Wyatt, Corbin and others in his promo. I just want him to be the Sheamus of old and just brutalize people. If they do that and also bring back the lead pipe as his weapon of choice, then well you have yourself a winner.

I miss The Bar.
We all loved singing 'doo doo dooooooo Sheamus and Cesaro' when they won the raw belts over the Shield at the MEN two years ago.

I’d book him to go after the IC Title. It’s the one title he needs to complete the grand slam. Have him take it off Shinsuke, and then turn him heel and feud with Braun over the belt until WM where Braun takes it in a physical brawl (Sheamus has proven he can have great brawls with bigger men in the past).

Zayn & Nakamura continue to align with Cesaro, then they turn on him.
Sheamus makes the save.
Sheamus attacks Cesaro. Gives a reason of "While i was out, where were you? Never contracted me and was Busy losing every week and looking like a nobody" or something.
Cesaro turns face and has a small feud with Sheamus again.
Sheamus comes out on top, continues to beat down Cesaro then cuts a promo along the lines of "This is what i mean, Smackdown has gotten soft, no one has fire any more, no one has passio.."
Roman makes the save, sets up Sheamus vs Roman feud. Sheamus ends up winning the fued due to Corbin's outside interference. Sheamus attacks Corbin anyway to show he's no aligning with anyone.
Meanwhile Cesaro 'Hasn't forgotten' what Zayn & Nakamura did to him, so now he goes after Nakamura's IC Title. Cesaro ends up winning and becoming the IC Champ and getting a renewed push.
I'd go that way with Sheamus' return. But since Cesaro is heavily featured and winning something in it, especially a Championship, that means WWE won't do it.

I'm all for SuperStars becoming Grand Slam Champions, especially if the missing Championship is either mid-card Championship Title Belt. This is no exception. After the career Sheamus has had so far, he deserves it, as does any other SuperStar who is one strap away from attaining this achievement.

Sheamus is a solid talent and has put on great singles matches and feuds when given the chances against the likes of Big Show,Daniel Bryan,John Morrison..ect but at this stage in his career should be used as a mid carder on the main roster.Still think it was a bad idea putting him back on Smackdown. While being one of the bigger names on the brand right now along with Reigns,Bryan,Wyatt,Miz,Strowman,Corbin...ect just don't see him getting any real shot in the main event picture long term.Still think he should have been moved to NXT or UK to add some much need star power and a good solid vet that while not in his prime isn't to far removed and could really deliver some great big name brawls and matches against WALTER,Lee,Djak,Daine..ect

http://instagram.com/p/B7G7H_hnyM5 Sheamus was supposed to be a face of the company in the 2010s, but this video may explain why he didnt really accomplish much. There has been little character development in the last 10 years. His 2012 run as a main eventer was lackluster and he was always getting injured. He had something good going with Cesaro, but that was as a tag team.
