The GOAT of wrestling games. We used to copy over the roster with our own CAWs, which changes the opening movie. We made some hilarious stuff. So many never-ending Ladder matches for the many titles we would create. Great, great memories with that game.

If you guys are fans of the WWF No Mercy engine. I would suggest you follow the Virtual Pro Wrestling 2 FREEM Edition rom hack project. It’s Virtual Pro Wrestling 2 in English with characters from the WCW and WWF games along with modern wrestlers. It’s on version 2 right now and a new release is due in January 2020. vpw.ajworld.net/vpw2freem/This rom is playable on actual N64 hardware if you have a flash cart or Everdrive. |

You ain't kidding about old wrestling games. I have approximately zero percent fun with the 2k series. They are awful and I wish someone else would make WWE games instead.

I would say Kurts best year was 2000, he started off the year with the European and Intercontinental (Eurocontinental champion) Won King of the ring, then went on to win the WWE Championship. Making him the one of the GOAT.
I still play WWF No Mercy on my N64 till this day. Haven't seen a copy wrapped up in years lmao I usually pick Taker, Jericho, Mr Ass, Kane and Stone Cold.

I can always appreciate a No Mercy post. Still play the game today and from time to time I update my rosters.
I was actually surprised at how accurate I was able to update Jericho, Moxley and few others.

I hope the rumors about AEW doing a revamp of No Mercy are true. Kenny Omega is in charge of the project and very hands on with it but said recently there isn’t much he can divulge yet other than “it will be what wrestling fans have been wanting for years.”

Oh, you absolutely do. And no worries about copying over the guys, you can default them anytime. We had one friend that we would always copy his guy over the women in the movie, so he would dance around like a girl and we would laugh for days. Change his clothes to all pink. Great stuff. |
