Hey guys, my 5 year old is starting to get Into watching old school wrestling and it’s super fun. He has a Mattel raw ring (Standard one you get at target or Walmart) and all he wants for Xmas is a cage for it so he can have cage matches with his guys... I found this one new in a box for $60 (jakks rage in a cage ) but I assume it won’t clip on the ring he has not sure if it will fit around it if it is Bigger or if I need to find a new ring for it and if so any ideas on what it fits in. Box says hardcore ring, but all I am finding for those are $100 plus not sure if it will fit on or around other model rings, any advice would be amazing. Thanks !  |

It’s tough to know if an old Jakk’s cage would fit on a Mattel ring.
Your best bet may be to purchase a Jakks ring for the cage.

Thanks ! I’ll look to pick up a jakks ring anyone know if they are universal to all makes or only would work on the extreme ring ?

It would certainly fit over the Mattel ring with some rejigging, and some cable ties.

Jakks has a ring that comes with a cage....it’s the Attitude ring, it usually goes for around $50 shipped....comes with cage and 2 catapults....use to love that ring as a kid

That looks like a Jakks spring ring which I think is the same size as Mattel’s basic rings so that cage should fit on a Mattel basic ring.

Maybe if you modify it you can make it work. Ive modified a Mattel Cage to the Hardcore Ring so you can make anything work. I’m an avid user of the Hardcore Ring as it’s my favorite wrestling figure ring ever. I’ll buy that Cage off of you if you wind up not needing it , let me know.

I had the WM2000 and Hardcore rings as a kid and loved them. Much better than the ruthless aggression era rings. I never had the cage but always wanted it, so I hope you're able to make it work.
