Has anyone who has been to one of these tell me a little on how meet and greet works? I'm concerned that the bigger names might be VIP level only with general admission being left out in the cold like some other types of conventions I've been to in the past. The lineup announced so far has me interested in squeezing in a one day stop in between my mania events next year.

I went at the one in Orlando. There are loads of people you can just walk up to and pay for a picture and lines aren't very long. For the VIP people you will need to precook and it will cost you. I think it was $200 to meet the Hardy's from what I remember.

I went to Orlando and NOLA. You can pretty much walk up to any table where there are wrestlers and just pay them up front. Now, some like Austin, will require you to pre-order tickets because they're onyl there for a few hours and don't want to turn away people. My guess as of now is Mike Tyson will be the one who won't be letting people pay at the door. Once the pre-order is done for him, that's all folks.average wait time for the wrestlers you don't have to pay for is probably like 1-3 people. It moves fast and the wrestlers will talk to you (if they're in a good mood).
Normally, the wrestlers will have something to sign if you don't bring one.I say normally because Summer Rae decided despite telling people to preorder and she'll have 8x10s, she did not have any. So I got nothing signed by her.
Be prepared to smell smells you've never smelled before. I am unsure if it will be inside this year (I believe I read somewhere that despite being at Steinbrenner field, there is an enclosed area). But, with the hot Florida heat, and the average wrestling fan's disdain for showers and deodarant, you will be wishing you didn't have a sense of smell.
My advice: Pre-order where you can so you can budget accordingly. Bring some extra cash in case you decide to get someone else. Take a shower before so as to not to contribute to the stench, and take one after to remove the stench that clings to you.
My buddy and I are thinking of purchasing a table to sell deodarant and showers in a can (they exist), but it'd be a waste of money since those that need it won't buy it.

For the big stars you should pre-order. Otherwise just pay at the table.

Thanks for the responses everyone. If I wind up going it will be for 1 day. My mania week schedule is pretty full and still waiting on axxess tickets and schedule to release. The announcement that Bret Hart will be there is what has me wanting to go just for him. I saw that his promoters are offering a pre sale for him through thier website and claiming the price will go up on Jan. 1st. I've got lots of convention experience so hopefully I can navigate this one easily. Lmao at the comment about the smells. Having been to many cons I know exactly what you're talking about!

For the VIPs, you stand in a hella long line.
