Two matches where two unexpected vets got PPV heavyweight title shots and went down pretty predictably. Still fun to watch and glad they got their shots. Which one did you enjoy more? I’d say Boss Man.

Boss Man was such a great heel during the AE.My personal fav Hardcore champ.

The Big Show/Bossman feud was really over the top with some of the things Bossman was doing but it fit his character at the time. He wasn't the Bossman of the early 90s, he had reverted back to an even more evil version of his 1988 persona. So that feud did make a little sense. Plus I bet both guys were fine working with each other.
Holly and Lesnar probably were on opposite ends of the planets in terms of being able to work with each other. I imagine Holly legit hated this guy just coming in and getting everything he may have wanted. Lesnar seems to legit despise anyone and everything except for being able to trust a guy who burned so many wrestlers in ECW so I can't imagine him liking Holly.

Boss Man vs Big Show gets my vote this was so over the top and crazy that it was hilarious. "Your a big nasty bastard and your mama even says so" Heel Boss Man during this time was such a great character.
I know this is probably an unpopular opinion, but I have never been entertained by anything that Bob Holly did and all the stories I hear about him backstage make him sound like an absolute prick.

Lesnar vs Holly for me.
It had a bit of zip to it.....Boss man vs Show did nothing for me. But that's more to do with me disliking Shows run as champ.

I went with Show vs. Boss Man, just because I feel Holly vs. Lesnar only happened because Holly botched a powerbomb and broke his own neck.

Gotta go Lesnar vs Holly. At least they had some real heat, even if it was only between them.
I do enjoy the so-bad-it's-good quality of Show and Bossman's feud, but for the belt? Ehh. Big Show is the outlier here. Love Bossman getting a shot but it couldn't be against a worse champion of the time, save for Vince himself. Bossman vs Rock, Austin, Foley, or even Triple H would easily sway my vote from Lesnar vs Holly.
Given the choice is between the matches themselves and which I'd rather actually watch, gotta go Lesnar vs Holly.

late 99 WWF is a bit of a mess really....they corrected course VERY well with the McMahon Helmsley regime though.
