Is there any particular reason why the packaging for this figure says Kevin Nash on the box and not Diesel? Seems odd to me.

Probably because they were to lazy to design the box with the right name on it. Jakks were awful with their packaging design. Especially exclusives. The boxed image of the figure was always different to the figure you were buying in the package. Especially warrior figures. If you’re paying a lot of money for a warrior figure you would expect the box image to look like the figure you are getting. As I said lazy jakks.

Maybe they thought more people knew him as Nash since that was his latest character on tv? But also can’t disagree with the laziness, someone who made the call just didn’t do the research or whatever

To be honest, I was just gonna give you the standard “Jakks being Jakks” answer, but in this case it probably rings true. He wasn’t on WWE TV when this was released, he was in TNA so possibly because he was on tv they thought more people (younger) would recognise him. I dunno, Jakks could through questions for everything they released, so many whys.
