I’m old school, I grew up with LJN,Remco & Hasbro figs but Mattel is the best line ever. Takes nothing away from the other lines that got me started collecting though.

Am I the only one that is ready for it to come to an end? Don’t get me wrong, I love what Mattel has done with the license. These are hands down the best mass produced wrestling figures ever. That being said, 10 years is a whole lot of figures and I’m running out of space to display everything. I don’t want to have to downsize but if the line continues much longer then it’s either that, scale back greatly on my purchases, or go cold turkey. And I collect only flashbacks and display loose.

That's a you problem. I hope the line continues for as long as possible because I'm not trying to essentially restart my collection all over again with whoever would get the license next unless it's someone like Hasbro and they put as much money and effort into it as they do Star Wars and Marvel, which would never happen.

Definitely my favorite line of wrestling figures to collect and I go all the way back to LJN. Took a break with Jakks for the most part. When Mattel took over I got hooked back in. Then had to go back and buy all the Jakks I missed. Here's to another 10 years!!

I can definitely relate on the space issue, and was just looking at how crowded my display is last night. But ultimately there's always a way around it - rotating out figures, rearranging the display, etc. As much as I complain that I want to see new names in the line, my flashback shelves are overflowing. But it's a problem I'll gladly take over the alternatives. I'm a big fan of the Black and ML lines and collect both, but I honestly don't know that Hasbro could top Mattel's work. Mattel struck the perfect balance of making figures that are visually appealing with solid detail and accessories for collectors while also having bulky, durable figures that hold up for rough play by kids. To me that's exactly what a wrestling figure should be. And the other lines certainly aren't without their faults, even if there were some aspects I wish Mattel would borrow.

Man it's crazy 10 years went by. I remember being confused why the figures look different, but I went along with it and got hooked up with Elite Series one and entrance greats. Mattel got so much better after it's first year. And now it's amazing most of the stuff we get. I love Jakks to death. But, Mattel is best thing I think for everyone in the collecting scene. They have made so much stuff collectors will eat up, we got so many more accessories and most of the time they are 90-99.9% on the ball for detail. But they got a lot going for the kids and cool stuff for everyone. So we're lucky. It would be cool to see some rereleases of Early series just to embrace the last 10 years.

I can't believe it's been 10 years. I remember on January 1, 2010 going to TRU as soon as it opened and buying all of Elite Series 1.
The next several weeks of buying Basic Series 1, Battle Pack Series 1, the Wrestlemania Basic Series, and then Elite Series 2 dropping.....it was pretty exciting because literally every time I would walk into a store I would find something new and buy it.

Basic 100 shouldve been rereleases or repaints of 2010 Basic John Cena, Undertaker, Shawn Michaels, Stone Cold, The Rock

I’m definitely a fan of what Mattel has done over the past ten years. If Mattel does not continue, I worry for what flashbacks will look like with a new company. Many of the stars we’ve received are 30 years removed from their prime and ones prior to Golden Era rarely see the light of day.

The people screaming for Hasbro or another company to take over the license dont understand. The line will still be treated as a children's toyline with a subline for adults. They wont be any closer to making first time legends that Mattel didnt make and even if they do, it would take several waves after they redo the Legends that sell first.

I hope they continue the line for a long time as I can't stomach trying to start over and collect a new line.

That’s when I gave up collecting. I spent so much time, energy, and money on the Jakks line. I justified my hault when I saw the first series and said “those are stupid”. 6 years later Target had a big sale on the Hall of Fame line. I picked up the M$M, Eddie, and SCSA to just put on display. Then bought I few more cheap elites on rsc. Then started buying the whole line of each elite series as they came out. Then had to go back and blow my wod on the 6 years of elites I missed.
