Forgot to mention that him and guys like him are probably why we can't find anything new in the stores and are expected to pay $40 and up for figures. I worked at TRU for just under 5 years from 2009 to 2014. During my time there, we would see tons of older men lining up early, people calling in asking for the days when trucks would be dropping off shipments, you name it. You could point a scalper out a mile away. It was sad at times too, even seeing grown *** men throw fits because we wouldn't sell them more than one of something or of something wasn't in stock. The crummy thing is there's nothing that stores will do because they're just there to sell. Some Managers may limit certain items to 1 per customer but that's quite rare and generally only applies to big ticket items like Lego sets and Transformers. I do not condone scalping at all. It's one thing to have an item for a long time and decide to sell it. It's another thing to post brand new stuff on Craigslist, Ebay, etc. For inflated prices. Unfortunately there are no laws against it and there likely never will be. It's up to the diligence of all the various collector communities to simply refuse to buy from people like that. It's so ridiculous. I pretty much agree. I have no issues with older figures being resold but where I draw the line on resellers is the brand new ones being sold for over retail.

Dang. I have most of those still MOC, including my Rockers that are still in the white Matty Collector box they came in. Sounds like a cool way to sell stuff despite the lag. The most shocking thing to me was no one bidding on E16 Diesel. Only one bid. I guess the HOF really put a ding in its value. Kane went for much lower than I expected too. The most annoying aspect though, besides the lag, was that people were bidding in $1 increments. Made everything very slow. Tornado started at $50 and I had to sit and wait as it got up to $87, one dollar at a time. Part of the group as well on facebook. I watched parts of the Auction the following morning as I was still at work / travel when it was going on. But I was shocked at some of the prices, but also shook my head at people bidding by $1 increments.

I always hate purchasing from someones collection but had the chance to get some earlier Legends/Elite Mattel figs this past week plus one that's current but I haven't seen here in Canada yet. These were all loose. Happy to provide them a good home.

It's so ridiculous. I pretty much agree. I have no issues with older figures being resold but where I draw the line on resellers is the brand new ones being sold for over retail. Sometimes I will buy figures that I know are popular here. I don't take large numbers though and I use them for trading or I sell them at retail+shipping to international friends who can't get a chance. It helps that I moved to a very small town with a Wal-Mart that I'm pretty sure has no other major collectors. Never would I ever buy figures, then put them on local ads, here or eBay for more than retail cost. The only time I sell big ticket items are when I buy a lot of many figures. Usually older sought after elites. Even then I pride myself on being reasonable. I want to make sales, not have something sitting online forever. I sold a local guy E16 Nash, E10 Yoshi Tatsu and E40 Umaga, all 3 for a price way under what Nash was going for online, but still above retail. Sometimes I feel bad when I buy 2 E70 Dolphs and a chase Dolph for my own collection and customs but that's about it.

Heroes comics in London got a ton of wrestling stuff in on thursday morning, including a bunch of hasbros and LJNs. Picked up some stuff I needed. Big scores were legends 3 bulldog for 10 bucks. Also got toybiz WCW Shane Douglas from Jumbo Video for 10 bucks.

You'd figure living in Toronto the supply would be good but I think dealing with collectors, casuals, scalpers and crappy restocks makes it hard.

Found all of E73 at Walmart in Bellingham WA. I wish Canada got stuff as frequently as the US. Also picked up Muraco from RSC.

Got an email from TRU saying they are going to honor I price match request I put in two months ago which is cool because my Ohno's box looked like it had a hernia (which I popped back in but it still dinged up) when it arrived. Getting them onsale makes that sting a little less. I know I don't need to tell anyone here but if you buy something from them then see it cheaper in the following weeks send them a price match because they are always good (and usually prompt) about it.

Any places to look for wrestling and football stuff in the Halifax area? Not especially. All the Walmarts there have been good to me though.

Metrotown TRU restocked E72, one Rey and three Velveteen Dream left.
Metrotown Walmart somehow restocked the pegs with a ton of E66 Angle. Good lord.
Bought the fighters pass for Smash Bros Ultimate and the season's pass for Fire Emblem Three Houses on Switch. I'm getting more playtime out of my Switch than I am with my PS4 these days.

I've given up on canadian walmarts. None of them have restocked any elite in the last week and a half. Bellingham walmart is already on E73!

The last time I hit that bellis fair area up I landed big at the nearby Walmart. E73 is an impressive wave. I hope that E71 shows up somewhere at retail?
