Anyone know why he stopped wearing the crown during his time as king?
Has the crown ever been seen again after 90’s? Did macho man ring outfits on displays? And the sceptres robe and Sherri’s crown / tiara

Yeah he stopped wearing it after WM6 IIRC....I remember noticing as a kid that he had stopped....and was hardly wrestling anymore. 1990 on the whole was a strange year for Savage.

The cowboy hat was a better look for him anyhow.
My guess is it probably had something to do with his hair thinning out and balding.

He did wear it on those event center promos and on this Brother Love show that Summer but yeah WM VI was the last big event he would wear it at.
Nothing against the cowboy hat but it just didn't fit the King gimmick IMO.

Cowboy hats and the long tights was when I started not liking him as much. I felt he was cartoonish prior to that look, but once he switched I felt it was too cartoonish for me. |

The cool thing about Randy Savage was that he was always reinventing himself. I liked his original look with the star trunks the best but I never disliked his other looks. They said on the Macho Man dvd that he dressed like that because he was smaller than the other wrestlers and wanted to look larger than life. I’d say it worked out pretty well for him.

This would make a great figure. From this era, I always liked his WM5 and SSL89 look, both would make great figures. |

In a shoot interview Sherri said she had the scepter.I think they made a few. Can't remember if she said she had the crown as well
