So there’s been a lot of names floating round recently but REALISTICALLY who could we get as a surprise Rumble entrant?
Jeff Hardy?
Edge?
CM Punk?
Out of them I’d guess Jeff as being the most realistic. I think the nearest thing to a classic era ‘pop’ that we’d get in WWE is a CM Punk entrance at the Rumble.
With the NWO induction upcoming, could we see Hogan, Nash, Hall or Waltman as a legend entrant?
And of course if they’re really going to try and run with Sting vs Taker on the last chance year for Mania, could we see a Sting / Taker surprise stare down moment?
What’s your thoughts?

I think we may see Rowan be in the Rumble. And perhaps Dolph Ziggler as well!

I don’t think there’s gonna be a lot of legend surprises or legit surprises at all.

I would love to see Abyss in the Rumble. I think that would be a cool moment.

I know, but won't it be a surprise when they hit the ring?!?!

With 3 rosters competing I don't think there is any room for surprises.

Isn't there going to be 10 guys each from raw, smackdown and NXT?

Probably nobody I care for. I would love for Sting to show up, he’s my favorite of all time. Hell, even Goldberg would be cool.

I would go with Edge,Taker and Hardy. As others stated don't think they'll be to many surprise this year and if indeed Edge does return during the match him coming back after nearly nine years will be more then enough of a surprise and pop for the crowd.

With 3 rosters competing I don't think there is any room for surprises. I think you're probably right. Velveteen Dream or someone else coming back from injury will probably be biggest surprise we get.

Mens:
Jeff Hardy - Probably the most realistic surprise. Could see him returning as Matt's in danger of elimination.
Edge - All the signs are showing it may happen
CM Punk - cm punk return confirmed
Carlito - I remember reading back around November that WWE was interested in bringing Carlito back, so who knows.
John Cena - He wants something good for WrestleMania, so maybe he could set it up here
Velveteen Dream - His expected return from injury was around January i believe, so he double as a surprise/NXT entrant
Cain Velasquez - ugh.
Abyss - Could see him getting a surprise debut, maybe a 1 off or he could stick around for a small program before going back to production.
Women's
Ronda Rousey - Seems highly likely
AJ Lee - With Punk back on decent 'terms' with WWE, maybe she could make a surprise return. I'm guessing if anything, she'd have more passion to compete than Punk.
Any former Women's talent they can find - Gotta fill the ring somehow, i doubt they'll use 90% of the Main, NXT & UK roster.

Jeff Hardy.
That's it.
No point putting Punk in there if he isn't going to win it - and there's no way he's going to win it.
People calling for an Abyss cameo are optimistic - he'd come out to crickets.

There won't be any "surprises". There hasn't been since AJ Styles. The Royal Rumble will be filled out by NXT wrestlers.
Keith Lee, Finn Balor, Ciampa, etc....these are the guys you'll see. And it's much better than way. Showcase NXT and future stars, rather than a Legend getting a nostalgia pop.
