Oh sure, blame the lizard people. Humans are the absolute worst. 🙄 I'm not being racist here. The subterranean reptilian race are funding their armies for their upcoming insurrection by scalping exclusives. They tunnel into distribution centers and backrooms at opportune times and take the most sought-after figures, knowing they can clean up on the secondary market. Some might even be forum members here to keep up with the scuttlebutt. ( I won't point fingers, but there are quite a few staunch defenders of the exclusive strategy here *wink wink*) On another point, I welcome the new age of Reptilian rule. Can't do any worse than the current administrations we surface dwellers have allowed to take hold. #AllHailReptilianOverlords

Maybe if Elites weren't 29.99 plus tax in Canada, they'd sell more I was looking for stuff on eBay that I’m missing and see stuff 26$ shipped and 30$ and I’m like damn aren’t elites like 18$ at Walmart? I go to target last week and got royal rumble Lita 21$. I haven’t bought in a while and realized how much they are again. Not the 30$ you guys pay but still sucks I think $15.99 CAD is fair.

Plus, Walmart's here and in the States son't get a lot of the newer Elite sets. Maybe one swing of them, and that's it.

this is a very complicated and broad issue not just isolated to the WWE line. but its crazy to walk into a Walmart and see the WWE section almost completely empty save a few basic nakamuras, AJ's and seths. but then you look at like the Transformers section or the Marvel section there's pegs full of stuff
most toys are too expensive for the average consumer now. and at Christmas they flood the aisle with hundreds and hundreds of random toys that they THINK kids are going to want, only to end up with an entire aisle full of clearance items from now until May
we are getting to the point in this country where its out of control. every toy company has to many MORE MORE MORE profit than the previous year or they are a failure, so they have to come up with ideas every other day for new crap they think kids are going to like, when all kids like nowadays are apps and youtube videos
plus honestly the toy "section" at Target absolutely sucks, its designed so weird, its never consistent and there is crap just everywhere.

Popfindr isn’t working anymore for Target inventory. I wouldn’t be surprised if this was the reason behind it.

The only store I know of where Mattel has control over how shelves are stocked are the 2 new Toys R Us stores that just opened and thats because toymakers buy the shelf space there. After Walmart and Target purchases the goods from the manufacturer, they do whatever they want with it and previous posts explain why shelves have been empty and it has nothing to do with Mattel.

yea I almost never go to a store to buy any figures anymore. for the obvious reasons. its a duel edge sword in store, because if you store cant order them regularly. and then if they do, there not put on the floor for days , sometimes weeks... so by the time you see them , you prob already have bought elsewhere or changed your mind about it. I hate hunting for figures now. I used to enjoy it when stores stocked and I found new stuff but man do I hate going to 3-4 targets and Walmart’s and seeing the SAME 3 figures everywhere. It’s just a feeling of wasted time and a why bother feel. that's how I feel. and when they have something new , ive bought it already online ..lol. so its still a waste of time, gas, and climbing thru crowds of people to get the toy aisle..lol. "the hunt" is a outdated method honestly.

Ok well what I am saying is why not try it out as a pilot program for 12 months and see the results.

Well how can they go up when they don't even have anything? Exactly! (Paul Bearer raises his urn over a grave) Rise...RISE!! (ToysRus rises from the grave)

Ok well what I am saying is why not try it out as a pilot program for 12 months and see the results. Because you're talking about overhauling a national distribution network that would require hiring thousands of people and costs probably in the tens of millions. Not to mention it would probably require re-negotiating contracts with retailers and logistics since Mattel would then be responsible for storing and moving the product instead of the stores' supply chains. We're talking about global Fortune 500 companies here. This is just beyond unrealistic, and the costs would probably greatly outweigh any possible added revenue.

I'm pretty sure I'll see lizard people at Target before I see a restock. Walmart too.

That's why I can't stand the store exclusives, it makes me not even want to go into the stores anymore, would rather just buy them from RSC and be done with it.

The selection at these stores are horrible. Around me they order one case at a time, which typically sell instantly and then it's empty shelves. I don't know, maybe if they stocked a few cases at a time they would sell more and make a profit?
