I'm excited to see this happening, though it seemed like just a matter of time.
I'm a big AEW fan, but scale will be make or break for me. Mattel has set the standard, and we now have the NJPW and Masked Republic lines in the same scale. As much as I love AEW, if these don't scale decently with the other lines they're likely to be a hard pass for me.
Jazwares also got rights to GI Joe recently, so I'm intrigued to see what they can do. I'm not really familiar with the Fortnite figures, but they seem to have a pretty consistent presence at retail and have even seen a few standalone displays at Target, so it seems like they have good relationships with major retailers.
Curious to see what, if anything, they might do with legends. I'd love to get figures of JR, Taz, Schivanone, etc. if possible. It's really wild to think that we could have 4 companies producing similarly scaled figures from wrestling across the globe.

This is something that I am really excited about to see. The scale won't be make or break for me. I collect both 6 inch and 3 3/4 inch figures, but I can see why having them compatible with Mattel would be ideal. My question is the price. Wonder what the retail price tag will be depending on scale?
I'll even be cool with 2 lines of Mattel size and the smaller Fortnite style figures down the line to meet multiple people's needs and wants.

I told my 10yr old son this info tonight and he said “well if they are like the fortnite figures then they will be great!”
My personal thoughts is wicked toys has teased us with many things shown at toyfairs/ conventions that never see the light of day but have also given us many great items to compliment our mattel collections. So i hope they continue the latter and they mix right in with our majority rule collections. If so...im all in!
I'm all in on these (no pun intended). Love AEW and been waiting patiently for this announcement. If they look great I'll probably be buying doubles of all of them (one loose, one MOC).
I do have some concerns as to whether Jazwares/Wicked Cool can match up with the best of Mattel/Super 7/etc. quality-wise, but it is reassuring -- and very cool -- to know that Jeremy from Jakks is likely going to be a big part of this.
They do (did) make 3.75” Assassins Creed figures as well so maybe that’ll be the scale they decide to make their AEW line. Either way the only wrestlers I see myself buying are Pac Jericho and Hangman. Maybe a Cody.
