I think the first wave is likely gkmma be Jericho, Moxley, Cody, Kenny and the Bucks. You're gonna want those guys out first even though I'd literally take Darby over basically everyone. He's the most toyetic guy they have. I'm going to say Luchasaurus and Pentagon Jr. are both more toyetic than Darby for me. Dustin is probably right there too. I'm curious if the Boss Fight figures interfere with the Lucha Bros getting AEW figures right out of the gate. I'm sure Darby will get a figure sooner, rather than later. The skateboard is going to be a fun selling point.

The skateboard is going to be a fun selling point. I'd even put the Bucks and Kenny above Darby as far as being toyetic. They both have some really cool, colorful gear that would pop. And depending on what would be possible from a legal standpoint, they have some cool special attires that would be a hit among the video game crowd. But as long the size and design of the figures look good, most of the roster will be an instant buy for me.

Looking at Jazwares current 6 inch line, I hope the poseability stays from these Fortnite figures. Very reminiscent of the TNA Toybiz line with the triple jointed knees and elbows with finger and toe articulation. Throw this in with a 3.75 inch line and you have all my money.

The joints look cartoony to me but then again I don't think they really have figures with skin/muscle molds. They could totally surprise us with a brand new mold/standard for their AEW line. Maybe even if they did them in the fortnite articulation they'd look better all painted up. Crossing my fingers for the best.

Yeah, I think the closest they have to any type of skin mold is the "Jonesy" figure arms. But I agree, I think with this same articulation and some unique molds, they could knock this out of the park.

Heard from a reasonably reliable source that Jeremy will be overseeing the line.

I remember reading that some of the guys from ToyBiz now work for Jazwares so that explains articulation style. I have a good number of the Fortnite figures and they’re fun figures that can be plugged into different collections. I have faith Jeremy knows what steps have to be taken with this line if he is on it. Would make no sense if practically every other company is trying to scale with Mattel and they decide not to. And stc13, you may just be in the shed cause Hasbro is suppose to be introducing 6 inch Joes at ToyFair.

believe me I'm stoked! I love what Jazwares is doing with Fortnight.
Yes it's in their best interest to make this AEW line closer in-scale to Mattels, but if they do stick to their true 6" scale like the Legendary Fornite series, here's a youtube review of the only shirtless figure they have currently on the market, to give you a sense of look & articulation of what it could be:
It's almost like a slightly scaled down version of Mattel's ultimate editions.

This is going to be a long two weeks. Can't wait to see what they do with this line. I do really like the torso articulation on the Fortnite figures, and would be happy to see that on wrestling figures. It's far less pronounced and keeps the general body shape better than the Ultimates.
I'm also really liking number of accessories and how detailed the deco is on the accessories. Maybe we can see some hardcore weapons that WWE/Mattel hasn't made.
I wasn't collecting during the Jakks era, but from what I've read about Jeremy it sounds like a positive if he's involved. With the current wrestling landscape, possibilities are almost endless. And AEW seems to be a pretty open minded company.

They don't even do that with Fortnite. It's a different time, there's a different standard. They aren't stupid. You make my super hilarious joke seem not that funny when you answer it seriously, sir. 😠

Those Fortnite figures are also cartoony because it’s Fortnite, they’re video game skins as opposed to real people

Am I alone in not hating a more "cartoony" line? I see a lot of people saying that the Fortnite line looks too cartoony for an AEW line. But does anyone else not hate that idea? I get people want a lot more realistic looking line, but I wouldn't say I am totally against something a bit more cartoony. A bit more "toy"-like.

Like I’m down for good articulation with a stylized look. Especially if they are a little smaller. I think it would help the line stand out if it was more of a “fun” line. Possibly cheaper to produce, with a larger selection of figures. Maybe do a play set a few times a year with like 4 figures and a ring or a backstage setup. More multipacks would be cool too. I’m thinking back to the BCA days when we’d get all kinds of sets. I think a more realistic sculpt would cost more money than a stylized would. Of course if they fit in well with Mattel figures I’d probably buy them for parts for customs.

Like I was upset when WWE only made like eight figures like this: I would have loved a full roster of toys that look like those.
