Stratego ...why isn’t checkers or chess on this?..and Yahtzee and jenga I don’t consider board gamesI was just looking over a bunch of different lists comprising of "best board games" as I was trying to figure out some ideas on which board games to buy. None of them seemed to include chess or checkers. I just kinda comprised a list of what games appeared most on "Ten Best Board Games" lists.

Had to go with Scrabble. Taught me how spell. But I always get stuck with "quijibo". And my mom is a vicious opponent. Always keeps score, knows the rules & will ALWAYS challenge a debatable word.

I don't think my family has ever played Scrabble like that. lol I don't think we ever once kept track of score, we just kept placing words until we ran out of tiles. We'd put the game up like "That was fun!" No real winner, no real loser.

Other than that, she's very timid, quiet & mild-mannered. Scrabble just brings out the competitive demon-witch in her.

Trivial Pursuit for me....my dad beat my tail. Fun though, especially the different versions. If you hadn't thought of it, Scene It was the bomb diggity too.

I hate Monopoly. You get together and six people want to be the banker but none know the actual rules. 12 hours later the game is still going and you are wondering why you wasted the day.

My family played that and it's sequel until we literally had seen all the questions and clips! Such a fun game! Pass The Popcorn was another fun movie-based game that we loved!
