Yeah I think the only real chance the EOE returnee has this season is if it's either a recent boot (post-merge, Kim being top choice since she seems to be the only boot who has made a correct read on the game while she was still in) OR if the that person is perceived responsible for removing Tony AND Sarah (which I doubt because Michelle will likely get that feather in her cap based on how things are going now) and they make it to the end with Ben/Michelle/Denise. I find it hard to believe that Natalie/Tyson/Rob get a ton of votes from a jury of winners who likely will appreciate in-game play over friendships. Hopefully I'm right there.
Ben screams the person who makes final tribal but gets no votes this year.
My order of potential winners right now:
1) Tony 2) Sarah 3) Michele 4) Denise 5) Ben
Natalie/Tyson/Rob have the ability to make the most noise and I think Kim would have the best chance of winning if she returned based on gameplay prior to being eliminated.

1) Tony 2) Sarah 3) Michele 4) Denise 5) Ben This makes the most sense to me too. Ben is a clear goat. The only EOE winner I could see happening if the final 3 somehow winds up Natalie, Ben and Michele.

I hope we don't get a bitter jury and they vote only on gameplay, but the All-Stars and Heroes vs Villains votes show that past great players do some times hold a grudge.
If Jeremy could get back in and get to the end with anyone expect Tony he might be able to get enough votes, but if he gets back in they will likely vote him right back out. A Jeremy, Sarah, and Michelle final 3 could be a pretty good spread of the votes and have the winner not get the majority of the votes and just get the plurality of the votes.

Great finale. Was really happy to see who won, they definitely deserved it after that season.

That’s why I was pretty vague with my post. Can’t wait for this thread to pick up so much to talk about after that finale. One of my favorite seasons in a while.

Ehh. I'm OK with who won. Could have been worse. I was expecting you know who to basically be handed it. Glad I was wrong.

Parvati angling hard to return with Tyson to be the next Rob and Sandra for a sequel to Island of the Idols. I'd like that enough. Parvati and Tyson > Rob and Sandra 10/10.

SO HAPPY TONY WON! To do all that he did, win all the challenges he did, play both sides like he did, and not receive a single vote throughout the game is damn impressive!

Now that I've been able to do some digging and there's been some telling interviews post-show, it's starting to come together.
The issues I had with the editing all season being vague comes down to the fact that Tony may have completely dominated the entire game. Kim on Rob C's podcast suggests as much as well as others that are talking about it.
It seems production may have hid a lot of motivations and true moves early on so it wouldn't be so obvious to us. That's what I'm piecing together anyway.
I very much enjoy that Survivor is a lot like wrestling. I love that there's a sort of kayfabe and there's shoot.

One thing I discovered is how the votes went.
Ethan - voted for Natalie because he viewed the Edge as part of the game this season, himself thinking Tony didn't experience every aspect of the game. Weak.
Tyson - voted Natalie because they're friends. Said he'd rather give $2M to a friend than a stranger. Weak.
Parvati - I have no idea why Parv voted Natalie. She recognizes Tony played the best game. Weak.
Jeremy - votes for Natalie. Not a shock as they've always been allies. Supposedly Jeremy was one of the few who felt burned by Tony.
Nick, Wendell, and others said they wanted to vote Michele to give her second place but were afraid that splitting the vote could give Natalie the win, and they really didn't want that. Also weak. Who intentionally votes for second place?
It's also worth noting that due to the Edge twist and everyone being the jury, Ethan and Parvati were two of the people who never actually met Tony all game. They knew what they've seen at tribals. I can somewhat understand Ethan's vote but I still think it's a weak rationalization. I can understand Jeremy's vote too. Parvati and Tyson let me down though. Bad votes and bad or no reasons given.

A bit late to the party but I'd call this the second best season behind Heroes vs Villains. Tony was already my favorite along with Russell so I was more than hyped to see him win again.

Top 3 season (at least) hands down. I'm definitely curious, after having blown up the game with so many advantages, how they'll go about fire tokens with hopefully a lack of Edge of Extinction going forward. Whenever we get S41, that is.

That's pretty fair.
I'd switch Parvati with Tony's first win. She beat a good amount of top people that season (one of the best ever too) and he only won because Woo pulled a Colby and gave up the win stupidly..
