I'm just desperate for Undertaker to hang up his boots at this point. I honestly believed he was the kind of wrestler who would care enough about his legacy to leave before it got painful to watch, and I thought his mis-steps in his WrestleMania XXXIII match against Roman were deliberate and part of the story of his retirement - that he could no longer hang with the Big Dog and he was handing over the keys to his yard - but I was sadly mistaken. It's time. Please end it. Agreed, this 5hit has got to stop. I'm thinking the match will be in between WM26 vs. Shawn Michaels and WM34 vs. John Cena (if we can even say that) where they just hit their big moves and call it a day. Styles will run around Undertaker and will get caught with a tombstone. I'm hoping for a respectably long match - is 10 minutes too much to ask for? It's just weird to me that Undertaker no-showed WM last year for the first time in his career with no explanation but is prepared for a match this year. He didn’t no-show last year. He wasn’t advertised.

Undertaker is working the Santa claus schedule. He just did it in Saudi Arabia and not wrestlemania last year.

We know he wasn't scheduled but it's pretty much expected for the past 28 years that he's on WrestleMania, even WM34 when he wasn't officially booked.

What are the chances it becomes a No Holds Barred match? 😂

He missed a few over the years when he's been off the road due to being too banged up, but he has never no-showed an event - no-showing is taken very seriously by performers of his era. Even as far back as 1994, the first WrestleMania he missed, Taker was rumoured (by Meltzer) to be considering retiring soon because of his injuries.

No thanks.
Give AJ someone better.
Give Taker, Sting.

Yh I still wanna see Sting vs Taker one day. Right now is the perfect time for AJ vs Taker and after RAW this week I’d say it’s looking like the match will hopefully be made official soon.

While I think AJ can get something out of Taker, I think Taker should really hang it up. He should’ve been done years ago. He once said he didn’t wanna become a parody of himself but that’s exactly what’s happening. And I LOVE Taker to death. He’s got a replaced hip, and his body is beat to sh*t. I’m starting to wonder if he needs the money, or if he feels as if he owes Vince.

I think now Taker doesn't need the money, but he likes the money. I don't blame him. It's also perfectly reasonable to think someone can change their stance on becoming a parody. Times change. He got married again (this one seems like it's sticking) and has kids. Does this make him any more watchable in the ring? Sadly, no. Those rumors came again in 2000 when he was out for 16.

In his interview with Austin, he said he’s always been counting on the other guys to tell him when he can’t go anymore - but he’s realised that nobody is going to say that to the Undertaker, so he just keeps convincing himself he can do it when Vince calls and asks.

This is very intriguing to me. It's a match I never thought I would want to see, but I think I do. AJ can be a bumping machine for Taker so he doesn't have to do as much. I could see this being good/above passable.

Undertaker can walk down the aisle and wrestle at any Wrestlemania he wants even if he’s 100 in my book. He is one of the very few that gives you that ‘big match feel’ and I’ll take his wrestlemania entrance and 2 star match with anybody over half of the roster that will be at wrestlemania.

I still want to see the Sting and Undertaker match. I don't care if they just stare at each other at Wrestlemania and have the big match at Survivor Series. They can go out the same way they came into WWE.

So do we still need this? I mean Taker didn't even need to take his hat or coat off to beat him, made AJ look weak imo.
If they were gonna do that at least have AJ get beat up a bit first. I believe the chokeslam (not even Undertaker's finisher) was the first move AJ took in the gauntlet?
I'd still be down for a proper AJ/Taker match, but they've made a poor start to the build.

There will be an Undertaker and Psycho Sid rematch at Wrestlemania.

I mean, Styles vs. Shane McMahon should’ve sucked too...

I don't think they will do Taker vs. AJ Styles one-on-one. I think the addition of Aleister Black into the picture on Monday and Rey Mysterio still be involved with the OC is leading toward a 6 man tag.
Undertaker, Aleister Black, and Rey Mysterio vs. The OC (AJ Styles, Karl Anderson, and Luke Gallows.
I think AJ Styles vs. The Undertaker one-on-One would be a mistake. A 6 man tag offers Undertaker a lot of protection. There are only a few very select moves that he can still do well and not look bad, unfortunately. Undertaker looked like a million bucks teaming with Reigns against Shane and McIntyre....tag matches seem to be the way to go from here on out, in my opinion.

I’m not particularly into it. I don’t think I care to see Taker in a match (he seems too far gone to even be carried to a decent singles bout), and AJ has fallen down the card now. I’m sure on the night, with the entrances etc, it’d get me, but I’m not excited about the prospect right now. I think ideally, I’d rather see the legends like Taker, HHH etc team up against the OC or Seth’s group rather than have singles matches. I agree. Undertaker is my favorite wrestler but I really don’t want to see him in a singles match at wrestlemania. And the fact that anyone has to say he needs to be carried through the match says it all. Good point!

Have Taker win at Mania, AJ win at the next PPV then have a final match at the following PPV with AJ winning again ending the feud.
Maybe throw in Taker/Black vs OC.
