Scale would be great but it is definitely not a deal breaker. These gigs looking very promising indeed.

It would be stupid to scale it any differently. There's only 5 figures announced.

I love AEW and I love wrestling figures, so I'll buy any and all no matter the scale. I'd be happy if they were a different scale or the same as Mattels. I've never understood how some people need something (Edit: I mean different action figure lines) to be all the same scale; seeing an army of figures all the same size looks so unbelievably boring to me, variation makes things pop. People flipping out that the new McFarlane DC figs aren't in scale with Marvel legends is so laughable to me. That said, if these are in the same scale as Mattels (which they look like me), that's cool too! Why would mcfarlane make DC figures with marvel legends collectors in mind? 😄😆 it looks like he is trying to attract DC collectibles collectors with his new line.

If they are not in scale with Mattel, it will be very tough for me to purchase and collect them.

after seeing them hold them in their hands they are close enough to mattels for me. Keep in mind if they looked big those are only prototypes. I'm pretty sure Jeremy is smart enough to make these in scale with everything else (mattel, super 7, masked republic, etc.)

I don’t personally like this type of ab joint for figures but I get why they decided on it. The company was in a lose lose situation with this joint and had to do something a little different than Mattel. If they went with the elite style then people would bitch that they ripped off Mattel. Now that they chose this style, we’ll bitch about the aesthetics of it. I’m guilty of it. This style is somewhere in the middle of Mattel’s elite and Ultimate line which was a safer choice for them. We as a society just don’t like change but in time we’ll get used to it and shell out our money and still complain. Lol. Best thing I've read all day. Completely true of collectors, too. As for me, I'm all in (urr hurrrr hurrrr) for series one and I'll see if I like the line. If so, I'll pick and choose who I wanna buy. As for scale, I'm hoping they're at least scaled well with each other, for starters. To scale with Mattel would be a no-brainer, since they'd have a built-in audience of people who wanna have their Elite AJ Styles have a match with the new Kenny Omega figure. That, and Storm's Hogan figures scale with Elites fairly well, there's no reason to assume Jazwares would ignore a scale that people want, at risk of alienating potential customers.

I'm going to buy them regardless. They look awesome and I love AEW's product. Hopefully they don't do any of this store Exclusive crap where we can't find any of the figures like Mattel does.

I'm pretty sure Jeremy is smart enough to make these in scale with everything else (mattel, super 7, masked republic, etc.) I think you’re right about them being prototypes when they were holding them. In the video, when they handed Kenny his figure someone said “It’s very delicate”. That’s likely because with it being a prototype, the pins and pegs aren’t done yet and the parts are basically holding together with friction. Also usually at that stage of production, I believe figures are something like 104% of the final size. They get smaller during the molding and casting process. I’m gonna check these out regardless of the size. The pictures look great. I just hope they roll out some more figures fairly quick after the first wave, because the wave 1 lineup is a little “One of these is not like the others” with it basically being Jericho and the Elite. The lineup makes total sense, but a wave 2 or a wave of two packs would be great pretty quick.

I can’t help but laugh at how the ab joint is a rip-off of the ultimate edition line. Jakks had this same torso articulation 20 years ago. I’m saying “look at the design of the sculpt and joints, it looks the most like Mattel’s UE design.” I’m aware that the design existed in other capacities FFS

As long as they're not crazily out of scale with Mattel, these figures should fit fine with the WWE elite figures, the NJPW figures and the lucha figures. My wallets gonna be mighty empty this year

I will buy them no matter the scale. That isn't as important to me as it is with some other people. I will buy wrestling toys no matter what, really.

I'd absolutely love for them to be in scale with Mattel's figures, but it wouldn't be the end of the world for me if they're not. If anything, most of my budget will go towards them if their previous lines are anything, simply because Jazwares distribution has never been a problem here. Whereas with Mattel I have to order online since I never see them in stores.

I think we’re dealing with Deluxe Aggression here

I mean a few things will decide, especially UK avaliablility and price. I do think if it's not in scale it'll be hard for me to start collecting especially when I have some already

I think we’re dealing with Deluxe Aggression here According to Toy News International, the UFC figures should scale with the AEW ones and those were announced as a 6 inch line.

In all fairness, few nobody has ever accused Todd McFarlane of not having an enormous ego. I'd like to think that Jeremy and WCT might be a little more rational from a business perspective, and considerate of their collector base.

If you look closely as the medium ring playset, it appears to be based on the dimensions of a Mattel basic ring. If that’s the case, then we have a strong indicator that these are considerably smaller than the Mattel line. I’m hoping this isn’t the case as I love the idea of a ring at a size between tiny and massive like Mattel does. http://instagram.com/p/B832o_fHQA1

I think scaled to the Mattel standard for the last decade might attract more customers. Even people, kids, who don't really watch All Elite. When will we see these toys next to an Elite Mattel fig?
