I've been seeing people wonder if talent could be produced in attires from different promotions/eras and I believe the answer is a definite maybe. The reason I believe this is because of things like the Legends of Wrestling video game series. For example, the last entry Showdown had a roster over 70 wrestlers, with several attires/looks from different points in their careers. From WWE to WCW to ECW. As for more recent examples, I don't know of any, but the precedent is there. I think even if they have to alter parts, it can be done. I'm prepared to be proven wrong, but I'm not claiming to know this 100% is possible.

I believe we could see, for example, the Young Bucks "Golden Elite" gear from All In because they recently wore that on an episode of Dynamite. But you won't see a WWE era Chris Jericho or a Kenny Omega in Wrestle Kingdom gear made for the AEW line.

I think it really depends on if the gear has been worn in AEW as well, and if the performer owns the likeness rights. For example, you’re likely not going to be able to see a WCW or WWE Jericho, but if the Bucks or Kenny wear NJPW gear at some point (non-BC obviously) it could happen.

Won't be possible, Mattel can't even do this

I don't know of any reason why it wouldn't at least be possible. For most current wrestlers, they're probably going to stick to relevant AEW looks as much for branding reasons as anything. And obviously there could be a million complications due to licensing conflicts, ownership over gimmicks, etc. But it's definitely possible under the right circumstances, if they want to go down that road.

I guess they were able to because he also wore it in AEW.

I can see attires / gimmicks from other promotions being used if they wore them around
Like Jericho had his lionheart gear in Japan, indies, wcw, ecw and wwecw so no one promotion could claim ownership could they for a gimmick he wrestled in a minimum of 6 or so promotions?

If it doesn't feature something owned by another promotion like the Bullet Club logo, there's no reason they couldn't do it. Promotions really don't own the gear guys wear unless it's some situation like that.
Like there's nothing really stopping Mattel from doing a TNA era Samoa Joe except probably getting a picture to put on the box.

There are situations where a company owns the gimmick or trademarks (ie Adam Bomb) that would probably be impossible as well. Mattel has said that they are only allowed to do gear that was worn in WWE or a tape library they own, but I think that has more to do with the licensor than any actual legality. Even in the Joe example you mentioned, Joe could theoretically provide a photo of his own from that time period that would fall under fair use. It's all semantics at this point. But you have to think that Jeremy has at least given consideration to reviving the line. There are some decent name talent out there who almost certainly won't be under a Legends deal with WWE any time soon. The PWT Micro Brawlers line is a perfect example of what could be possible in terms of talent and gear.

As long as there is no trademark material from another company, it's all free game. To go back to the Legends of Wrestling example, Bret Hart was able to use his heart and skull logos, if Jazwares/WCT wish to ever release a figure in his ring attire... Granted, he probably owns these things. I'm sure that goes for most of the legend talent, because all the wrestlers in the games were able to use their famous trademarks, even if they were slightly altered. The same may be true for current people as well.

I would be pleased to see a younger Christopher Daniels and Kazarian from their TNA days.

If they can get curry man then suicide could be a possibility as well. I just want a great fallen angel figure from his prime.

I think they'd be able to make alternate attires from different promotions, they just can't list it as that. Legally, they could call if Retro or Flashback, etc.
