Yeah Distribution was terrible. I remember TRU was carrying them and then all of a sudden they stopped. Kmart sold them too, then stopped. It was weird. Yeah for sure! I remember only seeing wave 5 and 7 in store here at Kmart everything else I ordered from my buddy who owned a comic shop. I don't even think Walmart carried them

Doubt it the fornite line is very successful so I’m sure they will do fine and people will buy them I can’t wait for them

Apples and oranges.
Fingers crossed this succeeds though. The prototypes and the possibilities have me excited.

Maybe that line failed because you had Austin Aries the size of Kane and Kazarian jacked like the Ultimate Warrior

Is that the one he said he hated? I never heard that He was talking about it recently. Actually had really nice stuff to say about the AEW figures, too!

Add another one for the "The problem with TNA figures was TNA"
I have trolled figure aisles for three decades, including when I wasn't actively watching wrestling.
I knew who the Undertaker was from his figure a decade before I ever saw an episode of RAW
I remember seeing ECW figures before I knew what ECW was.
I never once in my life saw a single TNA action figure in store. Not once. The only TNA action figure I've held in hand, in person, is the Daffney figure I bought off the 'bay.
So, honestly? I would say that if the "TNA Itself" issue wasn't enough, distribution sure did them in.

AEW relies too much on hardcore fans. When it comes to a toy line, that may not be the best move.

I mean WWE has what, triple the US fan base of AEW? I think the line will do fine, but it won't replace Mattel's Elites as the top tier wrestling figure on shelves. Honestly, it doesn't need to.

Im surprised we are not getting more accessories with figures but the ones we are getting are quality like cloth clothing Jakks clothing is infinitely better than Mattel clothing. Even the rare piece of cloth Mattel clothing is of just such a poor standard.

I agreed this is probably too early for AEW to get into the fig game because of the small fan base but I'm glad they are coming. I also think this might be a way to get new fans. Put these figures on shelves next to WWE ones. Could get kids to think outside the WWE.

The AEW packaging gives me WWE Classic Superstars vibes, which I think will work in their favor. As many have pointed out before me, TNA’s biggest problem was.. TNA. I don’t think there was much they could do figure wise to draw in non fans. I'm sure we can thank Jeremy Padawer for that. Super excited to start collecting the AEW line....only problem is that there are no confirmed plans to carry them here in Canada yet. =(
