Let’s not forget how they didn’t listen to the fans after they overwhelmingly voted for the line to be RA over DA style. I’ll never forget the outrage that caused. I didn’t collect Jakks TNA figures but if they had been all RA style I would never have even considered it

I think the biggest problem with the TNA line was the TNA brand. \ Totally agree. If anyone ever asks, what happened to TNA? Who's their biggest enemy? The answer was "Themselves"! As far as AEW, the CS vibes packaging is understandable on one hand (familiarity w/a line that ran for around 6 years and wsa a HUGE success), and a huge mistake at the same time (Too much like WWE). Other thoughts another time. Above is all I got for right now.

Calling the packaging a huge mistake is a terrible take. It's one of the most universally beloved packaging designs ever for wrestling figures, collectors remember it fondly and the younger people seeing it at retail likely have no idea it's based on a line of WWE figures from a decade ago at this point.

I collect loose, but I'm a fan of the packaging. It's a fun call-back for collectors who are familiar with the Jakks line, but like you said it's not something that is going to make a difference one way or the other to younger buyers. But it works. The gold foil will pop and stand out from anything else on the shelves right now, and the design is clean and visually appealing. It's completely different from anything Mattel is doing, and will stand out on the pegs. It's a total win to me.

AEWs fans are hardcore nerds and are insane enough to buy everything involving them (that’s not a bad thing, btw) so this line will sell enough to be kept alive. TNA, while they had their fans, they were already in the crapter when their figures came out and at that point Jakks broke apart with WWE.

Quality-wise, if these figures are anything like the Fortnite figs, they will be top-notch. Not a fan of Fortnite, but I bought the one that looks like G.I. Joe's Firefly. The joints are tight but movable, great articulation, solid accessories.

I hope the best for these but I have to see them in person before i dive in. If they go slow with releases I think it will be in their best interest. Also go easy on the repaints at the beginning.

I’m just getting the Boss Fight ones because the black and white is too bland I prefer black/white for Penta, because to me that is his most iconic look. I may grab Fenix to match. But black/red is so overdone to me, I wouldn't complain if I never add another wrestler in black/red gear to my collection. My ideal looks would be blue for Penta and gold for Fenix. Sounds like they'll have multiple figures with both companies, so I'm willing to wait.

Even considering the basics that Boss Fights is making of them in Lucha Bros TShirts. That will depend on the packaging because they will be MOC. Can’t get enough Lucha Bros.

I bought the Boss Fight ones (the collectors ones, I'm not buying the Fanaticos versions) because I wanted to support that line. I'll probably get the AEW ones too because I like the black/white color scheme.

Cool to see support for multiple Lucha Bros figures. To take it one step further and into the hypothetical realm, would AEW fans buy NJPW versions of Omega, Jericho and the Young Bucks from Super7?

Super7 couldn't make those guys without licensing them from AEW. The good news, I guess, is that Jazwares/WCT can do any attire those guys wore in New Japan that doesn't have the Bullet Club branding on it.

Is it any gear without Bullet Club logos, or is it any gear that they've since re-worn again in AEW? I haven't seen any figures yet with gear that wasn't worn on an AEW show.

Probably not possible from a licensing standpoint. Super 7 versions would be a pass for me. I've been pretty underwhelmed by what we've seen from Super 7. The accessories are great, Okada's face looks very off to me, and I'm not a fan of the shading on the torsos. I'd buy Boss Fight and Jazwares crossovers. But if I have a choice between Jazwares and Super 7, the Jazwares would be good enough for me.

The only thing they ever wore that New Japan could claim ownership of is the BC logo. People need to stop thinking entire looks that guys commissioned and paid for themselves are owned by a company just because they wore it in that company's ring. The bigger issue is they probably don't want to do anything but current AEW attires for the first few waves.
