If AEW was to make figures of the announcers (JR, Taz, Tony) and referees like Earl & Aubrey would you buy them?
Personally I would buy all of them and hope they do make them! They may have to include them into 2 or 3 packs to get them to sell depending on interest.

Yeah, 100%. Schiavone is a legit want since he's never had a figure. JR is kind of whatever since we got a Mattel of him, and I'd definitely prefer ECW Taz to announcer Taz if they can do that, but I'm good with getting any and all of these characters. I'm guessing Aubrey will be the first of the bunch and I'll absolutely get her.

Very interested in an Aubrey. I made a custom of her but the head was very difficult. Would love a version that actually looks like her. If they do Tony he had better come with a coffee cup now.

Yep I'm in for non-wrestlers too.
I think as far as refs go, I'd like to see Aubrey, Bryce, Knox, Turner, and Hebner (in that order).
Modern Arn and Tully manager figures would be cool.
Excalibur needs a figure for sure.

I was actually thinking this would be a great way to have Jim Ross at retail since many people missed the BAF. If JR, Taz, Schiavone, etc came with like a backstage or announcer table accessory, that'd be a great way to get them out there.

They’d have a better chance of selling me these than the wrestlers. Anyone that can fit into my flashback collection I’d buy. Tony, JR, Early Hebner, Tazz you name it I’ll get them.

Probably doesn't mean a whole lot but they showed the announcement on the AEW Control Center on YouTube today and Jenn Decker asked Tony if he'd seen his action figure and he said "yes" and then the conversation devolved into "does it have abs" so it may have been throwaway banter.
We'll find out I guess.

Yeah, I'd probably buy a Schiavone figure. I'd be more interested in Taz and Excalibur in flashback wrestling gear. I'd be OK with them making referee figures too. None of these are high on my wish list though. I'm just happy to have the chance to get more wrestling figures. I had customs in mind for lots of these guys, so now I don't have to work on them.  |
