Dude was in NXT for 7 years lmao Just because he long tenure there doesn’t mean he doesn’t have talent. I think his problem was that he didn’t have a character. Similar to guys like Apollo, Breeze, Kidd all who were solid hands in the ring, but it just took them a while to find a character they could shine with (or in Apollo’s case, are still looking for). Dawkins and Ford are money together. Solid tag team all around. I’d give them some tenure as a team and a run or two with the strap before the split. Once they split, I do feel like Dawkins will fizzle out unless he can find an interesting character. As everyone else has already said, sky is the limit with Ford. This guy can easily carry be a company leader as he gets more years of experience. Great on the mic and has charisma for days. He’ll improve more in the ring with time. I also think he and Bel Air as a power tandem would work great to, similar to a edge and lita pairing where both are active competitors. Really time will tell though. Look back and Enzo, Cass, and Mella. No one saw that happening the way it did with Mella being the stand alone from the group this many years later. So strange things can happen. Dawkins had like 12 gimmick changes before street profits

If WWE handles them well they *should* be a very successful tag team.
Since that won't happen.... and because I believe Montez has a ton of potential as a singles star.... I hope WWE sees the potential that a lot of people see and give him a chance to do something with it.

I don't know if he'll ever get a real chance to shine in the main event picture consistently, but he could easily be a solid upper mid-card hand for years - ala Miz. Maybe get a World Championship run or two down the road.
And yeah, Dawkins himself isn't anything special. He can hold his own, but he's just kinda... there. More of your regular tag team specialist/hot tag guy.

Montez is a megastar in the making.
Dawkins is pretty much exclusively gonna be a tag guy, much like Cesaro and Sheamus should be.

As a generally scared 37 year old white guy who 'isn't woke AF' apprently, can someone please tell me what is "smoke" and why I want to get it? Also, can someone please tell me what is meant by when the Usos say "ish". Like what is meant by "Day One Ish"? I have no idea what this means among millennials, and this is a real request for answers. Thanks. “Smoke” is slang for beef, trouble, confrontation etc. “Ish” is a censored way of saying “sh*t”

I thought it was a reference to the devil's lettuce. But I don't what any of these whippersnapper phrases mean anymore. Can be bring 'rad' and 'tubular' back?

Dawkins had like 12 gimmick changes before street profits I know, I’m just saying that it takes a character finding a gimmick that actually works for them. Look at guys like triple h, taker, stone cold. All had gimmicks that weren’t great or plain flops prior to finding what worked for them. Albeit they had far few gimmick changes before finding their groove, it just seems like very few strike gold with their very first gimmick of choice. Just takes some time.

I honestly thought when the Usos said "ish" it meant not quite. Like we've been down since (not quite) day one. Maybe day two or three, but close enough.
