This is so odd. A month ago everyone online said Joe failed the wellness and that's why they wrote him off after that tag match where he did the dive. Yet he came back and now he gets suspended. Can WWE see someone has failed the test and then pick and choose when to activate the suspension?

It's a real shame that Joe's entire WWE run has been "take one step forward one step back".

They make the rules on how they see fit.

First thing i noticed is the wording in the article title.
"Samoa Joe suspended under the rules of WWE Wellness Policy"
Instead of "In violation of ..."
This could be another case like Primo & Andrade, where they weren't able to make the testing day and "Under the rules" of the Wellness Policy, they HAD to suspend him.

Joe's WWE has pretty much been a disaster, with all of his injuries, start stop pushes and losing way to often.Even his NXT run as champion wasn't that great.Think it would be in Joe's best interest to move to the commentary booth in WWE,if not that they he should look to leave and jump ship to maybe AEW where he would really only have to work one day per week.Just don't think his body can hold up anymore in terms of working multiple date per week.

That could explain the rumors of his wellness issue before that was seemingly dismissed, that it was a logistics thing and wasn't a major situation to address until given these current circumstances where he's already missing time.

tbh, his debut with juice robinson budsing him open pretty good should have been a sign of things to come. wwe is just a ninja abduction away from making this look as bad as the end of his tna tenure....

He should go to NXT UK. Lesser schedule, so less chance to get banged up. Plus, he and WALTER could kill each other.
I would say NXT in general, but their roster is too overpopulated as it is.

Nobody on the entire roster is more authentic to me as a character than Joe. It's a shame he's struggled to stay healthy but I tend to feel he hits a home run with just about everything they give him. I can't help but feel we've missed out on so many incredible Joe feuds/matches because WWE wouldn't hire him in 2009. The same can be said for prime AJ Styles and Bobby Roode, but it feels more so with Joe since he hits a snag every time he gets going. He's just super talented imo. Even as he's slowed down in the ring, I think he's better than ever at the nuance of that character and on the microphone. I would have given anything to see Joe vs Punk around 2012.

Can WWE see someone has failed the test and then pick and choose when to activate the suspension? My assumption is that he tried to appeal it. Maybe they didn't want to announce his appeal so they didn't want to announce the suspension until it ended?

I think his in-ring career is gonna come to an end sooner than later. You can tell his body is breaking down, he doesn’t move as well as he used to. A lot of his run has been plagued with injury. I’ll never forget how awesome that mini feud with Brock was, then they pissed it all away when everyone was into it. They shoulda hired Joe over a decade ago.
